When does the Judgment of the Living begin?

The fascinating subject of the JOL is indeed one of our most precious topics as present truth believers. Lately, there has been discussion about the following question “When does the JOL begin?” This will reveal a “outside of the box” understanding and one which, if we study hard and look at the references closely, seems to come together nicely. The message gives good clarity here.

In this study our often quoted inspired counsel will be very helpful —

“..when we take into consideration the meaning of each word instead of making thoughtless and hasty conclusions, the Scriptures prove to be not only most perfect and wonderful and yet simple, but also inspiring, making wise the humble—and lightening the path of him who as did Christ, delights to do the will of God.” (2 SC, no. 2, p.3)

Ok, to begin, we should know that the judgment consists of TWO PARTS, the investigation, and the execution. These two are NOT the same action. For we know that the judicial investigation of the living has to be done PRIOR to the execution. Keep these simple yet important facts in mind.

So logically we know that during Ezek.9 church judgment execution upon the SDA LIVING members, the investigation must have had to take place prior. Indeed! In other words, the judge can’t just start ordering execution without some investigation of the guilty party.

Inspiration will sort this out beautifully as we put the pieces of the puzzle together. Back in brother Houteff’s time this very perplexing question was brought to him and is in the Codes.

“Question No. 1:

   “If the investigative judgment for the living does not begin till after Ezekiel Nine, please tell me when the ‘tares’ in the S.D.A. church are judged, for they are living when the sealing message comes.”

Answer:

   We have no special light on this question other than that the judgment of the living begins after the slaughter of Ezekiel Nine and if the “tares” must be judged in the period of the dead, then they must be judged, their names blotted out, after the slaughter and just before the commencement of the judgment of the living saints.” (SC, vol. 2, no.11, p.6)

Ah, this is indeed a unique circumstance, the LIVING SDA are judged (investigated) IN THE PERIOD OF THE JOD! However, even as they are judged during that time, they are the first to be executed among the living! In other words, the JOL execution phase BEGINS at Ezekiel 9. This is where the confusion is rectified. We can come to no other conclusion.

The silence in heaven, the time the JOL execution phase begins, is not the beginning of the JOL investigative phase.

We have further clarity with the following —

“This extension, so far as we are able to know now, must take place at the opening of the seventh seal (Rev. 8:1), for at that time the celestial voices, which opened the judgment of the dead, cease in the heavenly sanctuary and begin, after the half hour’s silence, to sound on earth. In other words, just as in heaven at the opening of the judgment of the dead, there were “lightnings and thunderings and voices” (Rev. 4:5), likewise on earth at the opening of the “judgment of the living,” there are “voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.” Rev. 8:5. (Tract 3, p.46-47)

The opening of the JOL is seen to happen AFTER the silence.

“During the period of the six seals, while the first session of the Judgment is on, the four beasts rest not day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” Rev. 4:8.  But when the seventh seal is opened, there is silence in heaven (the beasts hold their peace, also the “lightnings,” the “thunderings,” and the “voices” cease — Rev. 4:5) “about the space of half an hour.” Rev. 8:1.  The silence clearly  reveals that the first session of the Judicial  proceedings comes to a close, and that the second session commences after the silence is over.” (Tract 3, p.17-18)

The names of the wicked were blotted out during the first session. The second session is the JOL proceedings and focusing exclusively on the living.

“Thus, while the five men with the slaughter weapons are taking away those represented by the tares within the church, there will be silence in heaven for about half an hour (seven days), after which the judgment will commence again for those who shall be sealed in the time of the great harvest, which is the end of the world.” (SRod, vol. 2, p.216)

 “The truth therefore is trouble-free: Between the Judgment of the dead and the Judgment of the living stands the half-hour silence, the time absorbed in bringing the first Judicial session to a close and in preparing for the second session. ” (Tract 15, p.67)

“C.O.L. 122 says that “the net” “gathers both good and evil into the church. When the mission of the gospel is completed, the judgment will accomplish the work of separation.” It is impossible for the action of separation to precede the action of judgment.”  (1 SC, no.9, p.8)

This nails it brethren, the JOL has to have a prior investigative judgment BEFORE the action of the separation. Case closed!

In closing brethren, this does seem outside of our traditional thinking because we would think that the JOL would begin at Ezek. 9 (both phases) but God does things HIS way, and it’s way above our understanding. We must accept His judicial proceedings of the investigations and the executions.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55: 8-9)

Response from Bro. Goff, Part 2 of 2

As we continue with part 2, let’s remember that Roden , who as we know infiltrated the movement while VTH was still alive and on the camp, learning just enough of the message to incorporate as his own, was given the sweet deceptive whisper into his ear “Hey Ben, Houteff died, he can’t be the REAL Elijah, it must be YOU!” after the opportunity came –VTH’s death. This whisper trick sadly is still used today! The prime example is now with Lennox Sam.

Dudley — “The name “Branch” did continue from the Rodens on down to David Koresh and beyond 1993 to today. There were others who splintered off from the mainstream group after 1959 who may have taken other names, or who may have gone back to simply calling themselves “The Shepherd’s Rod”, or just the “Rod”, and who continue in one way or another until today. I do not know, in that I have had no part with any of them since the 1959 disappointment that altered my life so drastically.”

Ok, so from your own words you admit the Branch did not come from brother Houteff but from Roden. And Koresh came from Roden. This all should have been explained but instead, you leave the people with the idea that Roden came from Houteff and thus Koresh is from Houteff (original DSDA movement)! This is akin to saying Constantine was from Christ because he declared the word Christian! As we write this the words of James come to mind —

“Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.” (James 3:1)

Your testimony as an authority of the Davidian movement is incomplete and not an accurate testimony brother Goff. Instead, you give the impression the whole Davidian movement was denigrated by the example of Koresh! What this does is in effect is to say–“I want NO part of the Davidian movement.”

You say ..“I do not know, in that I have had no part with any of them since the 1959 disappointment that altered my life so drastically.”

Yes, after seeing your beliefs and the way in which you decided to lean on flesh instead of the Word, it is sad indeed that your life was drastically altered. But the Lord remains with His outstretched hand brother.

Dudley — “Your statement that Florence Houteff “hoodwinked” any of us by twisting the “Rod” back then, is false, and is a lie. What was predicted to take place in the Spring of 1959 was the sincere joint conviction of the entire Davidian Executive Committee. I may not have had a part in that decision, but I was 100% behind it. And, because I had no doubt, the failure of the predicted events to take place totally devastated me, and shook my belief in all of it to the core.”

Oh yes she did twist the message! Let me explain. As you cannot point to any writings of the Rod to show the 1959 failed prediction, you are left with the admission that Florence, who was your leader, and her council MADE UP this prediction that devastated your life and that of others. They “privately interpreted” the message which is condemned by the Lord (2 Peter 1:20-21). Again may we suggest you read Don Adair’s book “A Davidian Testimony”, he explains how Florence came to the idea to place the date of the failed prediction.

Although you were sincere that does not excuse anyone from their ignorance, errors or sins.

“For our exhortation does not come from error or impurity or by way of deceit; but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who examines our hearts. For we never came with flattering speech, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed—God is witness. ” ( 1 Thes. 2:3-5)

Dudley — “The result was I dropped out of the Davidian/Adventists picture for 60 years, and only recently decided to make myself available as a “still living” historical source of information on the life of Davidians prior to 1959, dating back to 1944 when my parents accepted the Shepherd’s Rod message. To what end, and for what purpose, I don’t quite know. I do have some thoughts that I’ll share from time to time on my web site, as we move into the final events that is climaxed by the second coming of Christ as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, man’s ultimate hope. By what end and purpose you ask? By the very words here reported back to you by way of the Truth. The Lord is faithful and if we ever keep our eyes and ears open we shall know the Truth. The trouble as we have shown, is that you withdrew from God’s work, heading away no longer able to see or hear, until WE PRAY –possibly now, Lord willing. I feel strongly brother Goff that the Lord is using this humble servant to reach you at your very end. Sister Bonnie (89), your fellow Mt. Carmel servant awaits you eagerly!

Dudley — ” Thanks for your email. After the 1959 great disappointment, I could no longer support the teachings of the Davidians. My position was that we were wrong in our expectations for the Spring of 1959, therefore I could only conclude that Bro. Houteff was not a true prophet, nor was Ellen G. White, the prophetic voice of the SDA church.  We were wrong in our predictions, and admitted it. I want you to know that Florance Houteff was never a prophet, nor did she ever claim to be one.

To place on her the blame for what happened in Waco in 1959 is a false accusation on your part. May I suggest that you view the film, “Waco, Rules of Engagement”, and read the book,” Why Waco”, by Dr. James Tabor. I did not know back then where we were wrong, but we were wrong, and therefore I could no longer remain a Davidian. I left the Davidians in (1959) the year David Koresh was born.”

So you concluded that others who interpreted the Rod message that 1959 would be the time of the slaughter is reason to place the blame on Bro. Houteff? As many we are sure, clearly now see your excuse to leave the Lord’s Rod for what others did, is starkingly a jolting example of not listening to that voice that CRIED OUT for us to hear it–

“The LORD’S voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.” (Micah 6:9)

Dudley — “True, Bro. Houteff did not predict a date for the fulfillment the events we Davidians expected in the spring of 1959, therefore there are no such predictions in his writings. But based on his writings, and our interpretation thereof, the Davidian leadership came to that 1959 failed conclusion. However, I was in complete agreement with the Mt. Carmel leadership, and the timing of those expectations. But we were wrong.”

Again, what you say is confusing. Brother Houteff did not make the date of the prediction. But yoiu then say it is based on his writings. Where? We ask you to provide just where the 1959 prediction (end of the 42 months) is located in his writings. Yes you said the truth “our interpretation thereof”.

Dudley — “You and I are in agreement as to the wrongness of the Davidians teachings back then, and even more so under David  Koresh. But our position pertaining to his teachings and religious practices, which you and I could not agree with, in no way justified the “heavy handed” government assault on the Branch Davidian church home in 1993. So after 60 years of being silent, and aware of what’s happening in our country today, and seeing to what extremes the government will go to clamp down on who they don’t agree with, I felt it was time for me to address the issue.”

No we are not in agreement of the “wrongness of the Davidian teachings back then” if you mean brother Houteff and the original writings. We answer yes as regards to Koresh, as his teachings were not based on the Rod but rather the Branch Davidians. Roden taught the Branch as a mixture of the Rod and his own ideas as you should know. Agreed the government made bad decsisons on Waco and Koresh’s movement.

Dudley — “What happened in Waco the spring of 1993, and also what the government did to Randy Weaver and his family just a few months before at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, should be a wakeup call to believing Christins as to what is in store for “those who  keep the commandments of God, and ahold to the testimony of Jesus.” Rev. 12:17, and 13:1. Sincerely yours for the Kingdom. ..

What we witnessed in Waco in 1993, as well as the Randy Weaver showdown at Ruby Ridge should be viewed as a preview of oppressive government actions that will be taken during the great tribulation against believers, “those who keep the cammandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus,” which results, according to Rev. 13 the Dragon overcoming the saints. My God help us all as we endure the events ahead, the final of which is the setting up of His Kingdom prepared for you and me, and all who put their trust in our soon coming Savior. Final comments –

Brethren, whether we are able to reach brother Goff, God only knows, but regardless let this be a BIG lesson to us. Prayer for this brother is very much needed at this late hour. Can we imagine what a great testimony he would be!

But the Lord has warned us —

“These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come.” (1 Cor. 10:11)

Response from Bro. Goff, Part 1 of 2

It took a short while but brother Goff responded to our comments on his latest video explaining his views on the history of the Rod and the message. In this report we’ll carefully go through his response and point out what we think as serious errors, miscalculations, and short-sightedness he makes in his responses. This report is given, as we pointed out, as a warning and lesson to all of us , that unless we cling to Jesus and HIS Rod message, not humans, we shall not endure to the end even if we have proclaimed the message and been in the inner circle of God’s movement.

Dudley — “I did not say brother Houteff nor the Rod “made the 1959 prediction”……he did not. There is no statement within his writings giving a predicted date for any of his teachings. Nor did his wife Florence Houteff set the Spring 1959 date for the events to take place that we expected. It was a collective conclusion on the part of the Davidian executive committee regarding the events and the date. I was not a member of the executive committee, nor was I party to any discussion on the part of those who came to that conclusion.”

Dudley admits that this failed prophecy was not made by “brother Houteff nor the Rod”. So we must conclude that brother Goff then decided to follow men and women. Isaiah warned us —

“Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?” (Isaiah 2:22)

Not only did Dudley trust in the decision made by the council ON THEIR OWN interpretations, and not supported by the writings as a thing prophesied by the Lord’s prophet, but he made a lifetime decision to end his involvement based on mere human influences!

Dudley — “But, and I emphasize, I was 100% in agreement with the conclusion arrived at. Because I never doubted the rightness of our position, this became for me an even more tramatic and devastating disappointment that resulted in my decision to leave the Davidians, their teachings, their belief in Bro. Houteff being Elijah the prophet, as well as a long held belief that Ellen G. White was a prophetic voice for our time. “

So once again he admits that he was morally and doctrinally tied to the decisions of a council of men and women, who took upon themselves “private interpreters”, a thing condemned and warned against by the Lord.

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2 Peter 1:20-21)

Dudley — “For more than 60 years I have kept silent as to my being a Davidian, a Seventh day Adventist or involved in any way with the Shephard’s Rod. Nor is my willingness to now come forward and speak of my past with the Davidians, in any way suggests a desire on my part to return. In my judgement, we were wrong. I also do not endorse the Davidian teachings as continued and enlarged upon by David Koresh, nor his religious practices. That’s not the point. The highanded military action on the part of our government against some of it’s own citizens is the issue. “

He says … “Nor is my willingness to now come forward and speak of my past with the Davidians, in any way suggests a desire on my part to return. In my judgement, we were wrong.“

Do we see the great and telling “we were wrong” statement? Who was wrong brother Goff? Was it God and the writings of His Shepherd’s Rod? Or was it the council and you? You clearly laid God’s final message of Elijah upon the altar, an altar built by fallible men and women. And when the storm came (their false prediction which you admitted they made) and destroyed the altar you ran away, left your post of duty and blamed the Lord by way of man and woman! May the Lord awaken you and fast!

He says … “I also do not endorse the Davidian teachings as continued and enlarged upon by David Koresh, nor his religious practices.“

Well it is VERY sad to see that he makes his great ignorance clear for all to see. The history of the Davidian movement basically broke off into three avenues. 1) the 100% Rod only group (led by brother Warden and brother Bingham) who regrouped in Los Angeles after the knockout blow. 2) the Ben Roden led “Branch Davidians” 3) the many who either left the movement due to you and your council promoting the April 1959 Ezek. 9 judgment, or decided to go independent.

The first group were made of the pioneers who stood fast in the original message and decided that Florence, her council were blatantly wrong and the Rod was not fairly dealt with under her leadership. This group later led to Bashan and Salem organizations, as well as Mountain Dale and Waco (today) organizations.

You may not be aware of the following letter sent to Florence and her council weeks before the fiasco and objecting to FH and her council through their “protest letter” dated April 9, 1959 —

“..We may pardonably emphasize the fact that when the Council’s predictions and program as set forth in Codes, Vol. 14, Nos.6,8, and 9, come to naught (30th day of this April [1959] is the absolute limit of the 3 1/2 years embraced in their own pronouncement: “..we have already [November 1955] entered the period of forty-two months…” — 11 Code 1:13:3, it will be the private predictions and the private program of the new- Code and new-Carmel, not the inspired program of the ROD which will thus be denuded of integrity, discredited, and humiliated. The ROD and genuine ROD Davidians will endure to the end to finish their Heaven-ordained mission to the Church and to the world.” (Our bold highlight added)

These pioneers knew very well the manipulation of the Florence Houteff publishing program of the “new -code”. It became their vehicle, their “private program”, thus compromise and a cloud of suspicion rested clearly with FH and her council’s doings, by the observant original Mt. Carmel members in regards to their interpretation of the 3 and half years prophecy.

The Branch as established by Roden, was most definitely shunned and derided by the 100% Rod only brethren, because of the many additions and subtractions Roden added to the original Rod message. For instance, keeping the Feast days, you should recall was NOT one of the Rod messages doctrines, and demanded as true doctrine by Roden and his Branch movement.

So your idea that Koresh, who was a part of the Branch under Lois Roden, after Ben died, was a later part of the original Rod message is like saying the Roman Catholic Church (Sunday Sabbath, the Pope as the mediator between man and God, etc) is a later part of true Christianity. In other words, real salvational doctrines mean nothing as long as one claims the name, Christian or Davidian.

You are continuing, whether you know it or not, with the same ol lines that the Mother SDA Church leaders spread. The Branch, they say, is a part of brother Houteff’s movement of the Davidian Seventh-day Adventists. False, and a perversion of history. Dudley — “It is not my intention to “keep mixing and matching Branch Davidians with Davidian Seventh-day-Adventists” in an effort to “sow confusion”, as you suggested. Perhaps a little history will give clarification for anyone who really wants to understand the sequence of name changes in the years prior to the 1993 assault on what the press referred to as the “Davidian church home” at Mt. Carmel Center, near Waco. Texas.

Starting in 1929 the group were referred to as “the Shepherd’s Rod”, which was the title of the first 2 books written by brother V.T. Houteff. When in 1935 the small group moved their headquarters from southern Calif. to a large piece of property on the bluff overlooking lake Waco, they still carried the name Shepherd’s Rod. In 1944 when my folks visited Mt. Carmel, during which time my folks accepted the “rod” message, the now much larger group still went by the name, The Shepherd’s Rod. However, soon thereafter (perhaps 2 or 3 years) Mt. Carmel and Bro. Houteff adopted the official name of Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Association as their name….

…The name “Branch” did not come into play until after Bro. Houteff died in 1955, and it originated with Ben and Lois Roden who believed the next step in the advancement of “truth”, after Bro. Houteff, lay with them. In fact, based on Ben Roden’s interpretation of Isa. 4:2, Isa. 11:1, 2 , and Jer. 23:5, he applied the name ‘“Branch” to himself, through whom further “truth” would come to the now scattered flock of Davidians who were so impacted by the great disappointment of 1959. (note: this probably is not a totally accurate picture of all that took place at that time.”

Perhaps we can correct this oversight. The name came about officially in 1943 with the following announcement —

“The Leviticus of The Davidian Seventh-day Adventists

First published — Feb. 12, 1943 (Tract 13 p. 46) by V.T. Houteff

PREFACE

Provisional in set-up as well as in name, the Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Association exists solely to accomplish a divinely appointed work within the Seventh-day Adventist denomination, wherein it therefore strictly confines its activities. As its work therewithin draws to a close, and the “servants of our God” (Rev. 7:3) are sealed, its name will be changed (Isa. 56:5; 62:2; 65:15) and its purpose and its work will become all-embracing to the gospel (Matt. 17:11; Acts 3:21, Isa. 61:4-7). Then its Constitution and By-Laws as herein codified will become fully operative.” (Leviticus Tract, page 1A, Preface, page 2)

As far as Ben Roden coming on the scene after VTH died, we concur. In fact, as you may or may not know, Roden was a part-time student of VTH, but as hindsight shows, he was setting up his future plans to infiltrate and pull away some Davidians should the opportunity arise, for his future movement and as “the Elijah” which, according to eyewitnesses Don Adair and Bonnie Smith, he said he would never die. Also according to brother George Saether, who I am sure you knew on the council, Roden was not very successful at all with his idea of pulling away Davidians to his Branch movement . In fact , Perry Jones was about the only one of the originals he pulled away according to brother Seather. And yes Jones’ case is very sad like yours. (See the below post report for info)

Dudley Goff’s Testimony

Recently we came across a fascinating story of one of Mt. Carmel’s original camp members back in brother Houteff’s time. His story is one of historical events and sadly, one of profound disappointment. We shall break down some of the more important highlights and also provide the link to the 2 hour video.

Dudley was born in 1931. For 89 years old, he looks and speaks very well. His clarity and recall seem to be quite superb. Unlike sister Bonnie and brother Adair, Dudley decided to fall away from the movement many years ago.

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matt. 24:13)

As we listened to his testimony we found out that he fell away from the Rod message (and EGW) because of the infamous “Knock out blow” from Florence Houteff’s false Ezek. 9 prediction. But as we listened Dudley placed the failed “prophecy” on the message and brother Houteff! Wow!

Goff — “After his death (VTH), and there were those of the Davidians, and I was a part of that, arrived at the conclusion we had 3 and a half years yet to notify, to warn the Adventist church of what was happening. At the end of which would come the slaughter. And it was that, that I referenced that we would think would happen by April 22 1959. .. when it didn’t happen it was absolutely devastating to me as it was to others, and we left.” (Mark 28:00 to 29: 12)

Once again the Lord spoke words of warning for people like Goff, let us read —

“Do not, though, forget that the message which he proclaims will in itself bear the Divine credentials of Truth, and that no priest or prelate can decide for you who the Elijah may or may not be. No, not even the appearance of what his message is doing or not doing, or whether it is prospering or disintegrating, can be taken as evidence that God is in it.” (GCS, p. 8)

The message that particular time, the time where Dudley saw nearly the whole existence of the message disintegrate, should NEVER have caused him to bail out and run! Yet he did just that.

Our King does not like weak or shallow faith —

“He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” (Matt. 8:26)

Goff and all the others that abandoned ship surely were not grounded in the faith. If they had allowed the Lord’s message of Elijah to do It’s intended work, they would STILL be proclaiming the message, as sister Bonnie Smith is today! But Dudley fell under a curse as the Lord’s word warns —

“Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.” (Jeremiah 17:5)

It is clear that Florence Houteff’s flesh was very much drawn from, as she persuaded some on the old Mt. Carmel camp to place the 1959 Ezek. 9 prophecy upon “the writings”. Goff admits of this hoodwink, although even today he seems not to recognize the dandy maneuver that was performed by Florence and her council.

” We don’t have a message. I have nothing to talk about, I have nothing to tell anybody. We said these events would take place by this time, they didn’t happen. I don’t know what’s wrong, but we’re wrong. … It was devastating enough to me that I didn’t want anything to do with any of it… It was based on brother Houteff’s writings, but if we’re wrong on that then he was not a true prophet. He was not the Elijah. But if we’re wrong there, Ellen G. White was not a prophet…” (1:20:28 – 1:22:23)

Ok, what we see here is plain flat out falsehood. Dudley shows he really wasn’t grounded in the Rod message. If he had been then he surely would have recognized, just as the early pioneers such as brother Warden and the many other 100% Rod only members of 1961-62, that this fiasco laid squarely at the foot of Florence Houteff and her crony council.

Satan knows all too well that this message of Elijah must be slandered, twisted, and soundly defeated by any means possible and now it seems, sadly, brother Goff is a willing partner to come back at such a late stage in his life and place the message, once again, in disrepute!

“..I would remind you, Brethren, that no prophet of God has ever been welcomed by the church. On the contrary, each in his time was rejected, abused, and most of them were martyred by the ones to whom they were sent — the very ones who were supposed to be serving God! Indeed, the Lord Himself paid the same price. For this very reason we must remember that when the last prophet comes he will have the greatest opposition to meet, for Satan well knows that if he loses now, he loses forever.” (GCS, p. 6)

One of the continual and perpetual false teachings in regards to us Davidian SDA, is the blending of the original DSDA to the Branch movement. Dudley tries to promote this understanding and give more false ammonition to the Lord’s Rod enemies. Time after time our great enemy has found so called “experts” to connect original Davidians to Branch Davidians. This is widely promoted unfortunately. Yet those of us who know the Truth, know well the utter falsehood of this con job!

In closing, Goff ended his testimony with a sort of plea for help, and to that we certainly want to lift him up in prayer. May the Lord answer his inquiry as to why he feels the need to speak his testimony now. The Lord, as we know is ever ready to take back a prodigal son.

Feedback from our last Post

Last post we went into the evidence of terrible proclaiming of false witnessing and what was happening in the field regarding so-called Jesuits in our midst. Well, it didn’t take long to see the fruit of the perverted message.

Recently, on Facebook we encountered a post by brother Trevor Bingham calling out what Sam has done. We’d like to show a few observations from fellow brethren in that discussion.

First, before we begin, let us quote the following —

“For every truth-seeker, moreover, stands the promise that He will not let one of them be deceived: “God never honors unbelief and questioning and doubt. When He speaks, His word is to be recognized and carried out in the daily actions. And if the heart of man is in living connection with God, the voice that cometh from above will be recognized… Those that do the will of God shall know of the doctrine whether it be of God for no deception will cloud their minds.” — Testimonies on Sabbath-School Work, pp. 64, 65.”

Ah, we see that if we are in living connection with God, we WILL recognize the Truth and the doctrine as the real thing, no deception will succeed. This is all to come from our obedience, our rightful living to His Word.

In the opposite condition, those who are not living His will (not paying tithes to His storehouse as prescribed, murmuring, sowing discord among the brethren, etc) shall have confusion as their lot! Deception will be fool’s gold as it were.

In the post comments, I decided to add my view. Obviously, brother Trevor and I were on the same team here, both calling out Sam’s false witnessing. But a sister was commenting and seemed to defend Sam’s actions. After I had warned her of her folly, she wrote –

“So bro. Peralta, prove to us you are not a Jesuit”.

Wow! After being jolted upright at her words, I said that she was speaking foolishly. Imagine, I said, if people could go to a judge and tell them you are a prostitute and you have to be brought in and show you are not! In other words, their word for it was enough to make the accused party have to answer the accusation! No evidence except their word, nothing at all.

I told her that is what she and Sam are doing, making an accusation without ANY evidence at all. This comment no doubt shows this sister is swallowing Sam’s “I told you so, now believe it” message. Much like this picture below —

The momma bird shoves down the food into the babies, and they swallow it whole without even chewing! In the same way, Sam’s followers, swallow his teaching. Again brethren this is a classic example of that “other voice” we are warned to not listen to.

“..one’s only safety will be in the teaching of Elijah, for there will be no other voice of timely Truth and authority to whom one may turn. Any others will lead their victims blind-folded into perdition.” (GCS, p.8)

Satan is VERY active among us brethren. A sample list of those who are active proclaimers of a perverted Rod message —

In another comment made by a brother, he tried to be coy. Saying on one hand he is not a Sam follower then disproving it by protecting his false teachings. He asked me to provide evidence that Sam was teaching that VTH was NOT the prophesied Elijah to come in Mal. 4:5.

I promptly gave him the evidence of such charge, Sam’s own words saying such a blasphemous thing! Here it is for our readers as well —

In closing brethren, our arch-enemy Satan is on the loose and sadly he is having some success amongst us because as the Scriptures point out, men and women want smooth things taught that tickle their ears.

“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” (2 Tim. 4:3)

Lennox Sam labels four “Main Jesuits” in Davidia

“There are occasions where their glaring misrepresentations will have to be met. When this is the case, it should be done promptly and briefly, and we should then pass on to our work.” (Testimonies, vol. 3, p.37)

“False teachers may appear to be very zealous for the work of God, and may expend means to bring their theories before the world and the church; but as they mingle error with truth, their message is one of deception, and will lead souls into false paths. They are to be met and opposed, not because they are bad men, but because they are teachers of falsehood and are endeavoring to put upon falsehood the stamp of truth.” (Testimonies to Ministers, p.55)

Upon supping and praying to our King, we need to post a warning about a most unsettling and even downright dangerous situation. Souls are in peril and those snagged seem to be blissfully ignorant of their soon to come horrible fate, lest they repent and awake!

His Word is too clear for any misunderstandings —

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor” (Exodus 20:16)

As we have posted so many times before there is among us someone who has time and again brought his so called “new light” and his “new prophecies” and placed them into the Golden Bowl. Sadly, many have bought them hook, line, and sinker as they say!

Teachings such as the “day of reckoning”, the “first of the firstfruits” doctrine ( 24,000 to escape from the DSDA purification prior to the later Ezek. 9 judgment to the SDA church), time setting (as to the year and month that certain prophecies will take place), and a host of other Sam proclamations.

But recently we saw something that made us –gasp! Yours truly, along with 3 other groups and individuals, were labeled –JESUITS. We were called the “four main ones”. Yes, you read that right. Here is a screenshot of Sam’s public video —

Don’t misunderstand, we are not so insecure that this false allegation bothers us, so much as we are alarmed at how Satan has taken Sam so low now that he must resort to false witnessings to hold onto his deceived flock!

Sam has now added us to his infamous list because we have stood up to him and his false teachings by many avenues —Facebook ministry (Truth Tellers), this blog, and YouTube with the following channel —

The very words the Rod speaks and he professes to believe in, shall be his doom, lest he repents —–

“And since the Enemy cannot get around the Truth, he does all he can to blacken character and to pick flaws in personalities.” (GCS, p.8)

Being familiar with the others Sam has listed, we can say without hesitation that we find ZERO evidence of bro. Trevor, bro. Don Adair and Eric Edstrom (whom we have had many difficulties with), as Jesuits.

Jesuits as many well know, WORK FOR THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. They are secretly bound by oath to carry out their mother church’s orders and covert operations to make the church supreme all around the world (whether religion, business, or whatever).

Has anyone ever seen the aforementioned ones, including yours truly promulgate or build up ANYTHING in regards to the Catholic church? In his video, he does produce conjured up “evidence” of MJ Bingham being a Jesuit, but that is very very shaky to say the least!

As to the others on the list he gives no evidence whatsover for being a Jesuit. At one point ridicoulously saying “I can’t tell you how I know, but I know. And if they are not, let them prove it” — unbelievable!

The Davidians are probably the last group the Jesuits would have any success with, as first and foremost we denounce Sunday worship in ALL respects! This is an unshakable pillar!

The same however cannot be said of the Seventh-day Adventist church. There may indeed be infiltrations there.

The plain fact is that Sam is calling those who don’t go along with his ideas, as Jesuits. And now that he sees our work as making inroads against him and his deceptions he resorts to a convenient label to smear and besmirch us to lift himself up — one of the oldest con job practices throughout history! False witnessing in all it’s unholy glory!

You see brethren Satan cares not who he fools and someone who knows the Rod well such as Sam is one of the best ones to get on his team. For they can be the primary tool to twist the Lord’s Rod and trick the flock!

Let us be aware this new low Lennox Sam has reached is just another milestone he will reach of new lows. Satan is not done with him yet, lest he repents and lives!

In the old days, the wild west used to call those such as these “snake oil salesmen”, but unfortunately this man Satan has now , Lennox Sam, is much worse for some of our brethren’s soul safety!

In closing the Lord’s servant has the perfect words for this case —

Who Builds the Pre-Mil Kingdom?

The anti-typical Temple as described by Ezekiel in chapters 40 to 48, is to be more glorious then the even the majestic Solomon’s Temple. The Rod explains —

Hag. 2:9 — “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.”

The promise is that the glory which attended Solomon’s temple, shall be far exceeded by the antitypical one, which is to be built by the church purified, the church during the harvest time, the time in which God shakes the heaven, the earth, and the nations — during the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

Since these promises were not fulfilled in the day of Zerubbabel’s temple, the subject becomes crystal clear: that they are now to be fulfilled, and since these latter day truths are now revealed to us, we must be the builders of it, the glory of which is to exceed all the glory of the past. Moreover, the place where this antitypical temple is to be situated is to have peace, and the way that peace is completely to be achieved is told in–

Hag. 2:21, 22 — “Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; and I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down everyone by the sword of his brother.”

Again is seen that in the day the Lord shakes the heavens and the earth, He also destroys the kingdoms of the earth by allowing them to kill one another. No wonder then that the nations are now engaged in an armament race, and the whole world is on the verge of plunging into the bloodiest conflict ever known. It is difficult for anyone to come to any other conclusion than that the great and dreadful day of the Lord is at hand.

In as much as Zerubbabel is a “signet,” a symbol or a type of the builders in the day the Lord shakes the heavens and the earth, then Ezekiel’s description of the mystic temple (chapters 40-47) which is yet to be built, could be the blueprint of Zerubbabel’s antitypical temple. (1 TG, no.13, p.5-6)

In words too clear to misunderstand we read that this Temple is to be built by the “church purified ” (the saints who escape the slaughter) and it further elucidates the same point — “we must be the builders of it”.

But we also find more evidence of those who build –two more are to complete this group of builders. Let us read —

Zech. 6:12 — “And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and He shall grow up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of the Lord.”

Joshua is well instructed that the burden and the ingenuity for building this spiritual temple, belongs to Him Whose name is “the BRANCH.” He is to grow out of His place. To Him be the glory. He alone is to be exalted. He is to build the temple of the Lord.

Zech. 6:13, 15 — “Even He shall build the temple of the Lord; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon His throne; and He shall be a priest upon His throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both…. And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the Lord, and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.” (1 TG, no.8, p.27)

Ah, we see that our GREAT KING is to build as well. The Master Builder! Thus we now have our King and His church purified named as builders. Do we have one more?

Zech. 1:18, 19 — “Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

Anciently the kingdom of Israel occupied the northern portion of the promised land, and the kingdom of Judah occupied the southern portion of it. The former was scattered by the kings of Assyria and the latter by the king of Babylon. Those who returned to Jerusalem in the days of Zechariah were from the kingdom of Judah, the Jews, but as the kingdom of Israel was assimilated by the nations, it consequently lost its racial and national identity. The powers that scattered both Judah and Israel are, you note, symbolized by the four horns.

Zech. 1:20, 21 — “And the Lord shewed me four carpenters. Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.”

Here the same powers which scattered Judah and Israel are again seen, not as horns, but as carpenters; not to scatter God’s people, but to build for them, and to cast out the horns (powers) of the Gentiles — those who rule the land. Plainly, then, on one hand the nations which do not rule Palestine are to arise as “horns” against those who rule it, and on the other hand they are to rise as carpenters for the people of God. Thus will “the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” Lu. 21:24. ( 1 TG, no. 11, p. 10-11)

The building group is now complete —

1) The King

2) Church Purified

3) Gentile Carpenters, who “build for Judah”

This Loud Cry headquaters having been built up then shows a systematic, orderly execution and delivery of the Lord’s Gospel plan —

“Who is to bring this revival and reformation, this great change? — The BRANCH. And according to Isaiah 11:1 to 5, the Branch is the Lord, the Son of David. We shall now read-

Zech.3:9 — “For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.”

Those who sit before Joshua are “men wondered at.” As such they are depicted by the “stone” (church, or Kingdom) that is in Joshua’s sight. It has seven eye-perfect vision. When this purification of the church takes place then the sin in the land is quickly removed — “in one day.”

Here is seen genuine revival and reformation accompanied by the purification of the church. The Lord is to have a pure church and a clean people.

Zech. 3:10 — “In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.”

“In that day,” in the day this purification takes place, the gospel work is to be quickly finished by having every member of the Lord’s house call his neighbor to his own patch of land, to that which God has pre-ordained that everyone should have. Every member, therefore, is to be a missionary in one capacity or in another. This indeed is the layman’s movement that shall finish the gospel work.

The statement, “Call every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree,” appears also in Micah 4. It teaches the same thing that Zechariah teaches.

This subject, however, does not stop with Zechariah three, it continues on.

Zech. 6:11 — “Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest.”

The angel is commanded to take silver and gold, and to make crowns — not one, but more than one. These are set upon Joshua’s head.

Zech. 6:14 — “And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord.”

Verse 14 reveals that Joshua is to pass the crowns on to his helpers whom the Lord Himself names. This is to be a memorial, an everlasting reminder in the temple of the Lord.

What can all this mean? — Just this: Joshua is Heaven’s appointed judge, ruler. He himself is crowned as such. And in response to the Lord’s Own command, Joshua crowns (authorizes) his helpers whom the Lord Himself names. In other words, as members of “the house of David,” Joshua authorizes them to engage in the work.

So, Joshua is responsible to the Lord, but his helpers are responsible to Joshua. Here is seen an organization having a Leader and an under leader — the Lord and Joshua. Thus it is that whatever is to be bound on earth, is also to be bound in Heaven (Matt. 16:19.)

As concretely as Heaven can make it, this symbolism depicts that God’s people in this final work are not to labor at cross purposes. All are to speak the same thing. So it is that His “Watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion.” Isa. 52:8. Then His people shall be called “The Holy people, The redeemed of the Lord,” “Sought out, A city not forsaken” (Isa. 62:12).” ( 1 TG, no. 8, p.24-27)

Indeed glorious!

And the continual building up of the land goes forward as the Gentiles arrive —

“Our sons and daughters in the faith shall come as a storm by air and by sea. They shall come because the Lord will glorify all His people. The call, “Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (Rev. 18:4), shall indeed along with the wealth of the Gentiles bring out “a great multitude which no man can number.” Rev. 7:9.

Isa. 60:10 — “And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in My wrath I smote thee, but in My favour have I had mercy on thee.”

In Ezra and Nehemiah’s time the people of God, the Jews, themselves had to build against great odds, but for the church purified, the Gentiles shall gladly build. Not only the common people but even their kings are to minister to the servants of God. Kings are now the bosses, but the day is almost here in which God’s servants shall boss the kings, and the kings shall be glad to be bossed by them. (1 TG, no.40, p.19-20)

Thus we see a fourth builder–Gentiles who come into the land.

Summary —

We have 4 builders of the pre-mil Kingdom

1) Our King
2) Church purified

4) Gentiles who come in

The 144,000 Persecuted by the Sunday Law before the Pre-Mil Kingdom? (Part 2)

Second view — The Sunday law is set up during/after the saints set up the kingdom

In part two we’ll examine why the first view is not the true timeline in regards to the Sunday law placement. But before we do we want to highlight two mutual agreements areas in common with the first view.

1- The idea that the JTT of trouble comes after Ezek. 9.

Some of the old guard see JTT coming before Ezekiel. This is a biggie because they think that somehow the JTT comes before Ezek. 9 and flatly discard or explain away the FB Timeline. The new codes are often used to support this idea.

2- The idea that the letting loose the four winds DOES ultimate in the Sunday law forming, although just not immediately after the war.

Ok let’s breakdown the second view. First, as we have posted before we are very big on the following two counsels of God when we closely examine the FB timeline —

“”..those who desire to know the truth must carefully mark every word, otherwise they will never comprehend the truth..” (2 SC, no.7-8. p.10)

“..when we take into consideration the meaning of each word instead of making thoughtless and hasty conclusions, the Scriptures prove to be not only most perfect and wonderful and yet simple, but also inspiring, making wise the humble—and lightening the path of him who as did Christ, delights to do the will of God.” (2 SC, no.2, p.3)

With this injunction, we will carefully look at the FB Tract, particularly no. 4 to 7. In the number 6 timeline statement we noticed the word “anticipate”. We believe this word is key to knowing what is said in no.6. For a review of that word, we go to the Google dictionary ( a composite of the world’s leading dictionaries).

“regard as probable; expect or predict“

So number six is saying that the releasing of the four winds expects to see the Sunday law come. It is not saying they are established immediately at the release of the four winds, but that they are coming as a result of it. They are predicted to come.

In this way we view the statement from the “writers point of view” (Tract 3, p.91) because we “mark every word” and don’t brush aside each word’s meaning.

“The most common cause of doctrinal confusion among Bible students lies in their so very frequently failing to view a subject in full perspective from the writer’s point of view, — a failing which results in their seeing it from some foreign standpoint so narrowing their view that instead of gaining the writer’s idea on the subject, they gain a false idea on it. And if the idea be to their liking, they magnify and zealously promote it as truth, whereas if it be not to their liking, they vigorously oppose it, and then lay it to the responsibility of the writer!” (Tract 3, p.91)

The Harvest period Chart is, as we know, a summary timeline that we can rely upon, as this supplies strong timeline evidence. To make a path obviously means to travel upon it and we see the events do exactly that.

This Chart timeline is clear —

1. Message came in 1929

2. Saints are sealed from the Rod message

3. Ezek. 9

4. Churches federate

5. False prophet and beast join together for the Sunday law

6. The Woman (false religion and worship) goes global with world governments (union of church and state worldwide)

So this important timeline confirms and supports the FB Tract timeline and gives clarity to the timing of Sunday law. The law would soon come after Ezek. 9, but not immediately. Things such as the churches coming together to federate (developing their one like mind) and calling for Sunday worship happens before the actual law is put in place. In other words, there seems a sort of planning/practicing stage prior to the enforcement of the SL.

Also, let us remember that the work of the servants of God (144,000) will be doing far reaching accomplishments, bringing many into the kingdom soon after Ezek. 9 once the kingdom is set up. The message shows that the Satan does these things (SL and the death decree) to “halt” this success.

“..the beast’s decree and his rigid enforcement of it, are not for the purpose of purifying the church, but for the purpose of blockading the way out of Babylon, thereby holding the world captive. This he does specifically to halt the steady flow of multitudes of converts to the then already purged and purified church.” (3 Ans. p. 70-71)

NOTE: In SRod volume 2, the above Harvest Chart is also drawn on page 150. However it places the church federation after the false prophet with the beast. But just like in the often confusing Zech. 4 chart (six or seven tubes depending on your take of it) we believe this is simply an oversight because, just as in the case of Zech 4 ( which discloses seven tubes in the written word), the SRod itself clears this with the written word —

“Preliminary to that miracle working power, Protestantism, Catholicism and Spiritualism will have grasped each other’s hand by means of a church federation. The difference of opinion in doctrinal points will be considered of no vital importance to salvation. They will see in that apparently innocent union a great movement for the settlement of differences as well as for the conversion of the world.” (SRod, vol. 2, p.158)

Thus we see that the church federation is formed preliminary to the miracles of the false prophet and so we can rely upon the full colored chart above as the correct and precise one as to timeline.

One of the clearest references that support this timeline of SL implementation is found in the following —

“Is Satan working for God’s and His church’s interest or against? If against, he will never do one thing to purify the church or to fulfill the prophecy.

The only thing that would compel him to pass blue Sunday laws and go “to make war with the remnant of her seed” (with those that are left, Rev. 12:17) is the purity of the church when God by the slaughter weapons of Ezekiel Nine takes away the tares which received not the mark, and even then Satan will not enact “blue Sunday laws” until after he has exhausted every other weapon against the church.”  (1936)  (2 SC, no.1, p.9-10)

So we should expect “other weapons” that will be used against the purified church after Ezekiel 9 prior to the SL. The Sunday law will be Satan’s final big punch to try and knockout God’s people. This then becomes important because we can go back to —

“Chapter 12 takes us even further back in time than chapter 11, way beyond the birth of Christ, then forward to the time the earth opens her mouth and swallows up the flood, and to the time of the remnant (the remnant are those who are left after the others are swallowed up by the earth). They as a people keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. They are persecuted by the dragon immediately after the earth swallows up the flood.“(2 TG, no. 14, p.17)

This persecution can be something other than the Sunday law weapon. As JTT develops on the saints way home, obviously some type of mental anguish situation will be used by Satan’s henchmen to trouble them. In this way we have beautiful harmony with the two quotes!

So in knowing the purpose of number six placement, we see it is there for the timing of the letting loose the four winds, NOT the setting up the Sunday Law. In other words the trouble begins.

Let’s look more at number 6.

6. That the angels’ letting loose the four winds to blow over the four corners of the earth (Rev. 7:1), does not anticipate a World war but rather a world wide decree enforced throughout Babylon by the image-beast, and that then no one may buy or sell save he who worships “the image.” Rev. 13:15-17.

Did you notice something — the loosing of the winds anticipates a WORLD WIDE decree enforced throughout Babylon by the image beast! When is that in the timeline?

Doesn’t the message say that the SL starts first in USA before it goes world wide? So the winds point to the formation of the ultimate phase of the WORLD WIDE DECREE Sunday law! That is why “anticipate” is used as the winds predict it will soon come now that the winds are loosed.

Therefore the FB timeline in no. 6 cannot point to the formation of the SL right then, but to the coming worldwide enforcement of it, and this cannot happen before the saints go through JTT (no. 7) and get to the kingdom.

More evidence of the Chart’s accurate timeline–

1 — The league of churches form the church federation before the SL–

Proof — “As the Protestant churches are represented by the heads, she could not have sat on them before the reformation, for they were not as yet in existence. As the heads upon which the “woman sits” are unharmed, it is evident that the prophetic symbol is to meet its fulfillment some time after the deadly wound of the leopard-like beast of Revelation 13:3, is healed. The symbol, sitting on the heads, denotes union of churches, for she sits on them.

Therefore, when Catholicism, Protestantism, and Spiritualism clasp each other’s hand by the medium of a league, then it could be said, “the woman sitteth on the heads.” (SRod, vol. 2, p.122-123)

2 — After a while the church federation goes global and the SL enforcement meets its “perfect fulfillment” in a world alliance.

Proof — “The symbol of the “woman sitting on the beast,” will meet its fulfillment when that religious federation shall make an alliance with the powers of the world. Such an act would give the woman full control of the entire beast, horns and heads — the world. At that time the following Scripture will meet its perfect fulfillment: “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast.” (Rev. 13:16, 17.) (SRod, vol. 2, p.123)

3 — The SL starts with the USA and then gets “adopted by the nations of the world”-the Woman on the Scarlet beast.

Proof — “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Rev. 13:15-17.)

This drastic decree of the two-horned beast shall be adopted by the nations of the world, and the image of the beast, which will demand obedience to an ecclesiastical form of worship, will be internationally set up. The mark of the beast is Sunday observance.” (SRod, vol.2, p.110)

4 — More proof that the USA enacts the SL first, then the world follows

Proof — “The anger of the nations” will develop by the decree that the two-horned beast is to enact “and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” (Rev. 13:15), for the fact that all the nations will follow in the footsteps of the two-horned beast and “the same crisis will come upon our people in all parts of the world” (6T 395) showing that this “anger of the nations” is a world-wide confederacy against God’s people as predicted by the prophet Zechariah: “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” (Zech. 12:3.)

Verse 8 proves that at the time of the anger of the nations, “clad in the armor of Christ’s righteousness, the church is to enter upon her final conflict, ‘Fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners,’ she is to go forth into all the world, conquering and to conquer” for, “in that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them.”

“Those who have been timid and self-distrustful, will declare themselves openly for Christ and His truth. The most weak and hesitating in the church, will be as David—willing to do and dare.”—“Testimonies for the Church,” Vol. 5, p. 81. (2 SC, no. 2, p.4-5)

Further, the establishment of Babylon that no. 6 speaks of shall not occur until the Woman rides the beast, let us read —

Rev. 18:2 — “And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

Ah, after the earth is lightened, then it is that Babylon falls. Plainly, then, Babylon has not actually fallen as yet. In fact Babylon has not even come into existence yet, for she is yet to mount (rule) the beast (the world). See Revelation 17 and Tract #12, “The World Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.” (TG, vol. 1, no.21, p.20)

Such clarity now on what no. 6 means in the timeline! Predictive of the soon to come WORLD WIDE decree! It is placed there for the fact that the “winds” are let loose, not that the SL starts then. Study, study, study UPON PRAYER, that’s all it takes.

The 144,000 Persecuted by the Sunday Law before the Pre-Mil Kingdom?

As Present truth believers, we know that the saints shall arrive safely in the kingdom shortly after Ezek. 9 church judgment. But what about the short period of time before they get there? Will the Sunday law actually be put in place nearly immediately after the war/Ezek.9 takes place? That is what we’ll endeavor to find out in this report.

We are told to be “close reasoners and logical thinkers” in our studies and as such we should logically think things through. Let’s look at the two widely held views. Before we do that though let’s mark out the two views.

First view — The immediate Sunday law set up

This view is held by most Davidians. Partly because the Florence/Bingham/Adair handed down theology and timeline and partly because many fail to do a deep dive study on this subject. The thinking goes as follows.

The FB Tract timeline shows the sequence of events —

4. That the destruction of the tares from among the first fruits of the living (Matt. 13:30, 48, 49; Ezek. 9:6, 7) results in the purification of the church.

5. That immediately thereafter, the angels let loose the four winds (Rev. 7:1-3), whereupon ensues the time of trouble and Michael’s standing up to deliver from

it, all whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Dan. 12:1).

6. That the angels’ letting loose the four winds to blow over the four corners of the earth (Rev. 7:1), does not anticipate a World war but rather a world wide decree enforced throughout Babylon by the image-beast, and that then no one may buy or sell save he who worships “the image.” Rev. 13:15-17.

7. That subsequently, the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jer. 30:7) for the 144,000, the sons of Jacob, logically develops on their way home (Gen. 32:1, 24) to the land of their fathers (Ezek. 36:28; 37:21, 25).

Number six is believed to mean that because number 5 states the blowing of the winds are immediate after the Ezek. 9 judgment (no.4), the Sunday law takes place “immediately”. And number 7 means the saints are to have JTT while the Sunday law is in place, on their way home. This all makes logical sense but, we think, on poor reasoning. The following is the “go -to” SOP to justify this thinking —

“The time is coming when we cannot sell at any price. The decree will soon go forth prohibiting men to buy or sell of any man save him that hath the mark of the beast. We came near having this realized in California a short time since; but this was only the threatening of the blowing of the four winds.

As yet they are held by the four angels. We are not just ready. There is a work yet to be done, and then the angels will be bidden to let go, that the four winds may blow upon the earth. That will be a decisive time for God’s children, a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation. Now is our opportunity to work.” (5 Testimonies, p.152)

But that is not all they use in this timeline understanding. There are a couple other Rod references that are used as well —

“Chapter 12 takes us even further back in time than chapter 11, way beyond the birth of Christ, then forward to the time the earth opens her mouth and swallows up the flood, and to the time of the remnant (the remnant are those who are left after the others are swallowed up by the earth). They as a people keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. They are persecuted by the dragon immediately after the earth swallows up the flood.

As yet we know not of a people in all the world, of whom Inspiration can say that they as a people (all of them) actually keep the commandments of God. The only such group of people that could possibly be found in time are the 144,000.” (1947) (2 TG, no. 14, p.17)

and —

“As soon as the separation is finished, and Satan has lost out with his deceptive scheme, the church finds herself in a great conflict with the enemy. Rev. 12:17, “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed [those who are left], which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (The war against the woman is the blue law.)“(1930) (1 SRod, p.152)

Both of these seem to show that the Sunday law is immediate after the Ezek. 9 judgment. But we must not stop here, for this is just “part” of the whole picture. We need to weigh the whole counsel of God and see if the whole pciture shows this view. Weighing means looking at ALL the references, then we can put the pieces together. Plus as we mentioned, a very great key is to be close reasoners and logical thinkers. Does this or that make sense, can that outcome really play out?

Evidence that the saints move quickly and head to the kingdom after Ezek.9/war —

Zech. 14:2 — “For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.”

In view of the fact that Jerusalem is to be protected by a wall of fire (Zech. 2:5) while the house of Judah reigns there, it is definite that the battle here described must be fought before the house of Judah is established. In that battle the nations will defeat the rulers of the Promised Land. Then it is that the

house of Judah commences to be set up.

As the warring nations besiege the city, and rifle the houses, also ravish the women, they are by no means righteous nations, but since not all the inhabitants go into captivity, and since all are not cut off from the city, it must be that the wicked are taken away and the righteous left in to join the house of Judah.

Zech. 14:3, 4 — “Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.”

At the time Jerusalem, that now is, falls, the Lord’s feet shall stand upon Mount of Olives and there make a very great valley; that is, remove the obstacles and hindrances, and thus prepare the land for the returning of His people. Then it is that the prophecy of Zechariah 10:8 — that the Lord shall “hiss” for His people — will have met its fulfillment.

Zech. 14:5 — “And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.”

Having thus opened the way for the re-establishment of the house of Judah, His people, who beforehand

have been informed of it through present Truth, will flee to the valley, to where the Lord’s feet stand, as quickly as if they were fleeing from an earthquake; and all the saints thereafter follow after them. There are several facts in this scripture itself which prove that this event is premillenial:

(1) Note that the Lord’s feet stand on the mount in the day of the war in which Jerusalem is taken by the wicked nations.

(2) Those that flee to the valley do not descend from Heaven.

(3) They can not be the wicked for they do not flee away from the Lord, but flee to Him, to where His feet stand.

(4) All the saints follow after them. “Early Writings,” p. 75, makes a double application of this scripture, a post millennial one. (TG, vol. 1, No. 19, p.5)

Mt. Dale Takes the Lead

Ok we know that the Lord has shut down the SDA churches worldwide. Although some are slowly reopening, many yet remain in the dark. Why? Well as we have posted before, we believe this is a last chance to reach His Laodicean church!

Let’s face it the Lord declares —

“Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them. Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.”(Amos 5:22-23)

Disobedience and worship just doesn’t cut it with the Lord. Our SDA service had been so delusional and sleepy that the over pouring of milk and untasty  treats were quite nauseating! But look who has stepped to the plate? A meat in due season feast!

Mt. Dale has been putting on two studies each Sabbath for many weeks now and consistently they are drawing big crowds online via free phone conference studies. The morning study is for Mother, with relatively low or no mention of the Rod. The afternoon study is advanced and discusses more in-depth studies for Rod believers. This one can be quite lively as one would imagine!
