5 Keys to understanding Present Truth Doctrines

In the message of the hour, the Elijah message, inspiration did not let us down  in how to understand our doctrines. These keys we will discuss are very instrumental to knowing “how” to unlock the truth of doctrines. The Bible says —

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” ( 2 Tim. 2:15)

Why is this so important to rightly divide the word of truth? Because we know that our enemy has inflitrated the Lord’s Elijah message with many “winds of doctrines” that don’t add up nor even harmonize in the message.  But if we use the following keys, as intended, God has mercifully shown us how to rightly divide the word of truth.

So what are those keys?

1 — Charts

‘While the enemy has succeeded in confusing the written Word, God lightens the earth with His glory by these symbolic revelations; and by which He discloses the entire truth and uncovers the traps of the devil! Thus through types and symbols He makes wise the simple and confounds the prudent by showing that where there is no type there is no truth. (2 SR, p.10)

“Written words can be misconstrued, but symbols cannot. Thus making it possible for the learned and unlearned, to immediately distinguish  the difference between truth and error.” ( 2 SR, p.288)

Powerful! The word can be misconstrued but symbols cannot. Thus we see that the charts serve as a “go to” area where we can “distinguish the difference between truth and error.” An important point to remember, particularly when studying endtime events, is that each of the charts that have pathways will show events in order, one following the other. This can help greatly when we study the end time event timeline.

2 — Carefully mark every word

“…as there are no useless words in either of the writings, those who desire to know the truth must carefully mark every word, otherwise they will never comprehend the truth and, as a consequence, they will be driven by the winds as the waves of the sea until the winds cease blowing (probation closes), and they be left to sink down in their sins as do the waves in the sea.”(SC, vol. 2, no.7-8, p.10)

“…when we take into consideration the meaning of each word instead of making thoughtless and hasty conclusions, the Scriptures prove to be not only most perfect and wonderful and yet simple, but also inspiring, making wise the humble — and lightening the path of him who as did Christ, delights to do the will of God.” (SC, vol. 2, no. 2, p.3)

“..to him who digs deep into the well of salvation, and that can think and reason for himself.  Such a one reads between the lines and notes the full value of each word.” (1 TG, no.45, p.22)

“Hold not to what fabricated ideas seem to make the Scriptures say, but grip tenaciously to what the Word, in simplicity, plainly says.” (Tract 10, p.13)

“..the only safe and sane procedure is to read closely every page of the solemn message contained in The Shepherd’s Rod publications. Let not a line escape your attention. Study every word carefully and prayerfully. Be earnest and diligent in your perusal of Truth, and “prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” 1 Thess. 5:21. (5 Ans, p.29)

 In Daniel, for example, this rule sets us free from error as shown by the following —

“And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever”( Daniel 2:44)

That little word “in” is key to knowing the time of the prophecy. Mother disregards it and as a consequence misunterpets the prophecy!  This not only happens in our SDA church, but sad to say even among us present truth believers. One clear example that comes to mind is our Fundamental Beliefs (no. 6) and the word “anticipate”. Here we know that it means to “expect ” or “point forward to”. Thus some ignore that and want to insert “establish”  for anticipate, meaning that the four winds let loose are establishing the Sunday law immediately after Ezek. 9. It does not say that when we mark every word and it’s meaning.

3 —  Weight of evidence

“Those who desire to doubt will have plenty of room. God does not propose to remove all occasion for unbelief. He gives candid evidence, which must be carefully investigated with a humble mind and teachable spirit, and all should decide from the weight of evidence.”(Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p.675)

“The weight of evidence” is the only fair and final criterion worthy of a Christian who must ever make an investigation for himself concerning purported truth.” ( 1 Ans, p.77) 

“In considering the several scriptures bearing on this point and on the kindred points in question, we must base our conclusions solely on the weight of evidence, so that we may not only know all the truth, but also teach nothing but the truth” (Tract 9, p.6)

“Some who are anxious to risk Present Truth on the weight of what one inspired statement seems to say or imply, are thereby presumptuously or very ignorantly overlooking the “weight of evidence.” Others are doing this through shortsightedness, while still others are doing it to prop up certain cherished ideas of their own.” (3 Ans, p. 41-42)

Says the Spirit of Prophecy, “Close reasoners and logical thinkers are few. ” “How many men in this age of the world fail to go deep enough. They only skim the surface. They will not think closely enough to see difficulties and grapple with them, and will not examine every important subject which comes before them with thoughtful, prayerful study, and with sufficient caution and interest to see the real point at issue. They talk of matters which they have not fully and carefully weighed. ”—“Fundamentals of Christian Education,” p. 27; “Testimones for the Church,” Vol. 4, p. 361. (3 SC, no.5-6, p.7)

As we pointed out before, weight of evidence  does not neccesarily mean the amount of references (although that certainly is a consideration) but the weight of a statement. For instance when we deal with the “those with” crowd and their false ideas of more than 144,000 sealed from the church at Ezek. 9 we show this powerful and weightful statement —

“Notwithstanding the fact that “in the closing work” for the Seventh-day Adventist denomination, only 144,000 are to be sealed, according to Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 266..” (3 Ans, p.26)

Now the word “fact” cannot be misconstrued. When they bring the quotes that seem to show more, they are either wrestled from their context or misread! Whereas the 3 Ans quote is too plain and weightful to misconstrue.

4 — Harmonization

“Let us remember always to observe the inviolable rule that an interpretation of one inspired statement must harmonize with all other related statements. ( 3 Ans, p.41)

“Those who are willing to risk all on the ground of one inspired statement and disregard another in order to carry out certain cherished ideas of their own… We would never try to establish an idea on the basis of agreeing with one passage of Scripture while disagreeing with another, for such a conclusion is as sure to be erroneous as if one should conclude that when the sun sets in the evening, it will never arise in the morning. The student of truth should harmonize”(2 SC, no. 1, p.5)

“Those who entertain the idea that there is only one sifting, and only first fruits, will never be able to harmonize every statement of the Bible and of the Spirit of Prophecy, for while their idea may perfectly harmonize in one instance, it will not in another. But the position of those who know the truth, and who all speak the same thing, will be in harmony with every inspired statement on the subject.” (2 SC, no. 12, p.7)

“No candid Bible student would build a theory upon an interpretation that would lead him to set aside all other scriptures on the subject. He will seek to make his final analysis in such a way as to be in perfect harmony with all of them, or else confess that he does not have the light on the subject.” (3 Ans, p.53)

“Though there is but one right interpretation of each Bible doctrine, yet a multitude of conflicting interpreatation are in the Christian world today, with the result that it is split into many sects and schisms (heads), woth no two believing alike.” (Tract 12, p.24)

What we find so plain and thought provoking is that not only are we to harmonize  the statements, but if  one cannot he must “confess that he does not have the light on the subject.”
This inspired councel is utterly ignored by some present truth believers. For if they cannot harmonize them, they often excuse away the statements that don’t support their ideas! Inspiration made the message in harmony  and if we can’t find the underlining harmony something is wrong with us, not the message. Instead of “rightly dividng” we are wrongly supposing.

5 — Understanding limited light statements

 “..there are circumstances in connection with certain aspects of every message which necessitate clarification. Such clarification, however, can be no greater than the light which shines at the time. And the light may come solely from within the message itself, or, again, it may derive from a limited understanding common to the time “then present”–an understanding which the messenger himself shares.” ( 1 Ans. p.49)

This rule is important to remember, particularly in studying end time prophetic events. We know it was not until 1937 that the prophet had the kingdom light shown. So in SRod volume 1 and 2 and the early codes, there were statements made that ” derive from a limited understanding common to the time “then present”–an understanding which the messenger himself shares.”

A classic example of that was  where VTH put Jacob’s time of trouble in the seven last plagues in 1 SR, p.133. Other similar statements are found as well in the early years. So this consideration is neccessary when studying final event timelines.

We conclude this report by saying that something is broken in Davidia. That something is the final event timeline doctrine. Two reasons for that. One, the above counsels have not been adherred to. Two, the enemy has infiltrated our ranks with false teachers who have disjointed the prophetic timeline due mostly to the new codes. But if we stick to the Golden Bowl only and the above counsels we’ll have no problem “righly dividing the word of truth”.

Let us not be “Slow of Heart to Believe”

In Luke 24:25, we read “And He said to them, “O foolish and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken.”

No doubt this is a serious rebuke from our Lord NOT to fail to believe “all” that the prophets have spoken. Recently with our indepth disscussions on the Holy Spirit, particularly the Godhead, we have witnessed the above admonishment come into play.

“My labor has been most discouraging, as I have seen that what God designed has not been accomplished. Often I have inquired in distress, Of what account is all my labor? These brethren took this position: We believe the visions, but Sister White, in writing them, put in her own words and we will believe that portion which we think is of God, and will not heed the other.” (1 Testimonies, p.233)

Not only some of our SDA brethren no doubt have fallen for this trap of believing ” some” of EGW writings, but now, it appears some of  our beloved DSDA brethren are using this same procedure in believing some of the Rod writings. They accept this of the Rod but reject that of the Rod. Let us give a clear indication of this.

The other side (Two Beings in the Godhead) showed us many many SOP quotes, along with some Scripture and Rod references to build their case. Fine. The truth of the doctrine of the Godhead “can afford to be fair”.

“Age will not make error into truth, and truth can afford to be fair.No true doctrine will lose anything by close examination.” (CWE, p.35)

However, we countered with the fact that our Elijah prophet knew all those quotes, did he not? Yet, he was guided of the Lord to write the “restoring” message for us. Thus his summary is what we are to believe as truth, and that includes the Godhead.

If he had sided with the idea of only Two in the Godhead , after review of what they showed, then he would have provided that doctrine into the Golden Bowl for us. He did not.  Thus to add this strange fire doctrine into the GB is to add our own pipes into it, our own theories and ideas. No indeed, he CONFIRMED the idea of the Trinity (Three Persons (Beings) in the Godhead).

As we contiually pointed out to them , one of the main confirmations of the Trinity is the Ezek. 4 prophecy. This prophecy being undisclosed for centuries, did not the prophet bring it out for us to know and believe? Or was it just a trinket? Let us closely examine what the message says about it.

“Barley, Symbol Of Spirit

The second portion of food, or truth which we were to get was represented by barley. John Knox was the next man who made the second step by teaching the doctrine represented by the barley which was the truth of the “Holy Spirit.” Barley is not so commonly or widely used as wheat. In fact, few people would use it, and at that, very seldom. Many people do not know what barley is; so with the doctrine of the “Holy Spirit”. While the doctrine of the Holy Spirit is believed by some Christians, it is not believed by others. Some do not understand what the truth of the Spirit is, even as some do not know what barley is; so the symbol representing the second doctrine is perfect, even as the first. Gideon’s experience with the Midianite’s dream of the barley cake overturning the tent proves the same. Read Judges 7:13, 14.” (1 SRod, p.118)

What did John Knox teach?

 “Chapter 12 – Faith in the Holy Ghost

Our faith and its assurance do not proceed from flesh and blood, that is to say, from natural powers within us, but are the inspiration of the Holy Ghost; whom we confess to be God, equal with the Father and with his Son, who sanctifies us, and brings us into all truth by his own working, without whom we should remain forever enemies to God and ignorant of his Son, Christ Jesus. For by nature we are so dead, blind, and perverse, that neither can we feel when we are pricked, see the light when it shines, nor assent to the will of God when it is revealed, unless the Spirit of the Lord Jesus quicken that which is dead, remove the darkness from our minds, and bow our stubborn hearts to the obedience of his blessed will. And so, as we confess that God the Father created us when we were not, as his Son our Lord Jesus redeemed us when we were enemies to him, so also do we confess that the Holy Ghost does sanctify and regenerate us, without respect to any merit proceeding from us, be it before or after our regeneration. To put this even more plainly; as we willingly disclaim any honor and glory from our own creation and redemption, so do we willingly also for our regeneration and sanctification; for by ourselves we are not capable of thinking one good thought, but he who has begun the work in us alone continues us in it, to the praise and glory of his undeserved grace.(John Knox – The Scottish Confession)”

 

This is too plain and clear to misunderstand. The Holy Spirit TRUTH was taught by John Knox. Do we believe this or not?  Some are trying to skip over, ignore, explain away, or deny this prophetic disclosure. This confronts their ideas head on. Once they accept the Ezekiel 4 prophecy disclosure, their theories and ideas must be reconsidered .

In closing , let us not be found believing  “some” of the message, let us believe ALL of it.

The Mystery of the Holy Spirit, (Part 2)

Recently on both our Pre-11th hour ministry video channel and our video channel on YouTube, we posted some insight into two powerful points that eliminate the idea that the Holy Spirit can be just a force, energy, Christ’s essence (and not a personal Being) and so forth. In this post, we’ll show them and by prayerful study, we can show the two beings in the Godhead crowd, the truth of the matter.

The first point is the following.

In John 8:54 our King says —

“Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.”(John 8:54)

Ok we see that the Lord cannot and will not glorify Himself, as it is nothing. But throughout the Scriptures, we read that His creation will glorify Him. Here are a few of the Scriptures —

“They raise their voices, they shout for joy; They cry out from the west concerning the majesty of the Lord. Therefore glorify the Lord in the east, The name of the Lord, the God of Israel, In the coastlands of the sea.” (Isaiah 24:14-15 )

“I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And will glorify Your name forever.” (Psalm 86:12)

“There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, Nor are there any works like Yours. All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord,
And they shall glorify Your name. For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God.”  (Psalm 86:8-10 )

“For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers, and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy.” 
(Romans 15:8 )

“Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” (Revelation 4:11 )

Let us look now at the following.

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall show it unto you.” (John 16:13-14)

Who glorifies Him in the above Word of God?   THE HOLY SPIRIT. This shows two things profoundly. That the Holy Spirit cannot be Christ in the form of His essence, force, energy, or Christ Himself as Christ will not glorify Himself. The “He” shows a person, and the “He shall glorify Me” shows  He is capable of glorifying Christ just like God’s creation. He must be a separate and distinct Person capable of giving  Christ glory just as Christ’s creation does. When all else fails listen and follow the Word from our King!


Next, we have the issue of the prophetess and what she said about the Holy Spirit. Most of the quotes from the two beings crowd are from SOP.  They show aspects of the Holy Spirit that one could “construe” that there is no such separate Being called the Holy Spirit. But, as we are told that the unrolling of the Scroll is the latest light, we can see one of her last statements on the Holy Spirit. Made when she was 78 years old.

“The Holy Spirit always leads to the written word. The Holy Spirit is a person; for he beareth witness with our spirits that we are the children of God. When this witness is borne, it carries with it its own evidence. At such times we believe and are sure that we are the children of God. What strong evidence of the power of truth we can give to believers and unbelievers when we can voice the words of John, “We have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

The Holy Spirit has a personality,else he could not bear witness to our spirits and with our spirits that we are the children of God. He must also be a divine person, else he could not search out the secrets which lie hidden in the mind of God. “For what man knoweth the things of a man save the spirit of man, which is in him; even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”  (Manuscript releases, vol. 20, p.64-69) (Evangelism, p.616-617)

Another statement found in her later writings is —

“The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, in Christ’s name. He personifies Christ, yet is a distinct personality. We may have the Holy Spirit if we ask for it and make it [a] habit to turn to and trust in God rather than in any finite human agent who may make mistakes”( Manuscript releases, vol. 20, p.324)

Notice that just because the Holy Spirit is termed “it” in some SOP writings, we cannot say that it is not a Being with a “distinct personality.” Again, we must remember the fact that the Holy Spirit is a mystery.

“The nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Men cannot explain it, because the Lord has not revealed it to them. Men having fanciful views may bring together passages of Scripture and put a human construction on them, but the acceptance of these views will not strengthen the church. Regarding such mysteries, which are too deep for human understanding, silence is golden.” (AA, p.52) 

We like how Merlin Burk, PhD, from the EGW Estate put it  —

“The Holy Spirit represented Jesus. Jesus, throughout His life on earth, represented the Father (John 14:9), and the Father pointed to and exalted the Son (Matt. 3:17; 17:5; Mark 1:11; 9:7; Luke 3:22; 9:35).” (Ministry Magazine, April 2012)

One thing is clear to us as we review all that inspiration says about the Holy Spirit. He is humble, wanting no glory whatsoever. Has no form as we know, and continually points to Christ. He has the specific work of saving souls by indwelling God’s people with God the Father and Christ the Son’s Truth.

In closing the Bible, SOP, and the Rod message are clear –there are THREE BEINGS in the Godhead and as John Knox, which the Lord visited to show the “Truth of the Holy Spirit” representing the Barley grain of Ezekiel 4 prophecy, said —

“Our faith and its assurance do not proceed from flesh and blood, that is to say, from natural powers within us, but are the inspiration of the Holy Ghost; whom we confess to be God, equal with the Father and with his Son, who sanctifies us, and brings us into all truth by his own working, without whom we should remain forever enemies to God and ignorant of his Son, Christ Jesus.” (The Scottish Confession by John Knox).

 

The Mystery of the Holy Spirit (Part 1)

In the Spirit of Prophecy we read —

“The nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Men cannot explain it, because the Lord has not revealed it to them. Men having fanciful views may bring together passages of Scripture and put a human construction on them, but the acceptance of these views will not strengthen the church. Regarding such mysteries, which are too deep for human understanding, silence is golden.” (Acts of the Apostles, p.52)

Here we see that to say “we know what and who the Spirit is” or to go beyond what inspiration says will not strengthen us.  It is too deep. Today, sadly we have seen men and women try to explain just who the Holy Spirit is, but that job is to come not from us, but from God, through the two pipes as explained in Zechariah 4. 

” …the two golden pipes, which carry the golden oil from the trees to the bowl, are the only two mediums which God has employed since 1844 A.D. to interpret the Scriptures.” ( 5 SC, no. 1-5, p.3)

Before we go further, we should remember that each generation has its “present truth”

“In every age there is a new development of truth, a message of God to the people of that generation. The old truths are all essential; new truth is not independent of the old, but an unfolding of it. It is only as the old truths are understood that we can comprehend the new. When Christ desired to open to His disciples the truth of His resurrection, He began “at Moses and all the prophets” and “expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself” (Luke 24:27). But it is the light which shines in the fresh unfolding of truth that glorifies the old. He who rejects or neglects the new does not really possess the old. For him it loses its vital power and becomes but a lifeless form.” (COL, p.127)

What is “our” present truth? Is it not the Elijah message? Is this not our developed truth for this time? Further, we have this powerful counsel on God’s Elijah message —

” ..Elijah’s message and movement will be the only God-sent ones, the only ones to fear, to love, to stand by, to live or to die for. No, there will be no other shield when heaven opens and the storm breaks in all its dread fury upon the world, to unavoidably pour down its lethal lightning from the skies.” (GCS, p.8)

Now if we accept the Elijah message as our present truth, which Davidians worldwide profess to do, then to do contrary to what present truth teaches is under the following admonishment —

 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John 14:26.) The rejecting of light and present truth is the sin against the Holy Ghost. “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost [present truth] it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” (Matt. 12:32.) Our attitude towards present truth would “Either make a tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.” (Matt. 12:33.) Thus, present truth has the power to change the individual and fit him for eternal life, which is the seal of the living God. Said Jesus: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5.) (SRod, vol. 2, p.198)

Ok you get the point, the Holy Spirit understanding for us today must  be what the Elijah message says, which God says is the the only one  “to fear, to love, to stand by, to live and to die for.”…“hear ye the Rod, and Who has appointed it” (Micah 6:9)

Before we begin we want to show a testimony we received from a Davidian sister. We bring this up as a perfect example of humbling ourselves and correcting our course when the message tells us something different from what we have believed.

“..the arguments about the pioneers and first writings of Ellen White plus the plausible theory about somebody tampered with her writings persuaded me even more that the Holy Spirit is God’s power or mind. I had to strive with the Lord when I believed in the Rod’s message and had to either accept it fully and what it said on the Trinity or reject it completely. I couldn’t conscientiously do the second having fully believed the message is from above, so I had to take it by faith that what the Rod is saying is true and the evidence is on the side of the trinity. But from the video what added more confidence is the restoration of the truths and one of them coming from John Knox as portrayed in the explanation of Ezekiel prophecy by Victor Houteff.” (Sister A)

Let it be known that this sister , with her confession of faith, has shown that she definitely does not fall under the following condemnation —

“I have been shown that the greatest reason why the people of God are now found in this state of spiritual blindness is that they will not receive correction. Many have despised the reproofs and warnings given them. The True Witness condemns the lukewarm condition of the people of God, which gives Satan great power over them in this waiting, watching time. The selfish, the proud, and the lovers of sin are ever assailed with doubts. Satan has ability to suggest doubts and to devise objections to the pointed testimony that God sends, and many think it a virtue, a mark of intelligence in them, to be unbelieving and to question and quibble. Those who desire to doubt will have plenty of room. God does not propose to remove all occasion for unbelief. He gives evidence, which must be carefully investigated with a humble mind and a teachable spirit, and all should decide from the weight of evidence.” (Testimonies, vol. 3, p.255)

Could she had questioned and quibbled on the idea that there is a “Trinity”, yes. But she stepped back and took it by faith that the Elijah message superseded her ideas.

Plainly, then whatever things Inspiration Itself does not teach and interpret, are not worth remembering, teaching, or even listening to. (Tract 15, p.31-32)

After reading the above said counsel we should be well grounded in that Inspiration is what we go by, not our ideas, construction and theories on the Holy Spirit, then we’ll be safe! Let us remember, the prophet knew all about the many Bible and SOP references on the Holy Spirit.  He was then led of God to write out the truth on the Holy Spirit by word and prophecies.

A Review of Doug Batchelor’s “Pinnacle of Prophecy” Series

 

There have been over 500,000 views on YouTube of the series entitled “The Pinnacle of Prophecy” and over that viewership on Facebook. Pastor Doug Batchelor, who needs no introduction, has produced a series of 14 studies on different end-time prophecies. It is supposed and implied that Amazing Facts and their leader are authorities enough to give us a “pinnacle” or top-rated and knowledgeable explanation of these prophecies. But is that so? In our analysis of some of this series, we’ll carefully look at what Doug interprets from these prophecies.

As present truth believers, we know the message of the hour says —

“..the two golden pipes, which carry the golden oil from the trees to the bowl, are the only two mediums which God has employed since 1844 A.D. to interpret the Scriptures.” (  5 SC, no. 1-5. p.3)

Is Doug one of those pipes? Does he have the light of God to interpret the prophecies for us? We shall carefully examine his studies and see first hand.

In our first report, we’ll examine report no. 14, entitled “Satan’s Mark of God’s Seal?” We’ll quote his comments and then compare them to what the message says. We’ll discuss the high points or noteworthy remarks and label him –DB.

To prep his speech and explain the “Key” to knowing prophecy, DB begins by telling us how you and I can interpret prophecy–

DB – “We’ve told us along the way, the key to understanding these prophecies in Revelation are the stories in the Bible. Out of 404 verses in Revelation 278 are found in the Old Testament. That’s where the keys are.”

We need to point out something profound right here. The Scriptures say something completely different concerning unlocking prophecy, let us read —

 ^“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”(2 Peter 1:19-21)

So are we to think that everyone is “holy”, a prophet of God, able to interpret the prophecies? Apparently, DB thinks so. For he makes no distinction between who is private (not a prophet) and God’s prophets. In other words, God’s very important “Key” is thrown out for DB’s — any and all can privately interpret the prophecies with studious effort! This sets the stage for great error to come in.

DB–  “In the days ahead everybody is going to be marked one way or another…. There are only two roads… We want to know what God’s seal is. We either have the seal of God in our foreheads or the mark of the beast.”

We know this is not accurate here because many (those within the SDA who fail to get the mark of Ezekiel 9) will get neither the mark nor the seal, but are to be slayed. So not “everybody” will get one or the other. Doug bypasses the very important prophetic event of our Lord’s next “sudden” coming (Mal. 3:1-5) and subsequent church judgment (Ezekiel 9 and Isaiah 66:15-21). This leaves a large prophetic hole in his study of the seal/mark as we shall see.

DB then brings up Isaiah 4:1 —

“And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.”

DB then goes on to explain this Scripture applying to today’s multitude of Christian sects. This is true for today’s application of the prophecy to the world due to the hypocrisy. Yet DB fails to state the context or REASON why God places this worldly hypocritical setting there. This prophecy helps us to know the “time of the season” we are living in today to prepare us for what God is soon to do with our church! The context as seen in verses  2 to 6 shows WHY we should know the time we are living in. The full contextual explanation is found in 1 TG, no. 30  —

“SEVEN WOMEN TAKE HOLD OF ONE MAN”

Today we are to continue our study of the book of Isaiah, beginning with the first verse of the fourth chapter.

Isa. 4:1 — “And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by Thy name, to take away our reproach.”

The first thing we need to know is the time indicated by the term “in that day.” The antecedent of the words “that day” is found in verses 13 and 14 of the preceding chapters of which the fourth chapter is a continuation. These verses point out that “that day” is the Judgment day, the day in which the sanctuary (the church) is cleansed — the harvest day. So, pointing to the day in which we are now living, to the Judgment day, the scripture figuratively reveals that all (for that is what the Biblical number “seven” indicates) the churches have arrived at the place where by their actions they are in reality saying to the Lord: “We want nothing from you but Your name. Just let us be called Christians is all we want from You. We want Your name because it takes away our reproach; that is, if we be called Christians, then what we do can be blamed on You; You get the credit for it.”

Accordingly, the world has reached the day when God, in order to save the Church, is finally compelled to do something as great and as revolutionary as brought about by the first Advent of Christ. And what could that be? — The remaining verses of the chapter give the answer.

Isa. 4:2 — “In that day [when seven women take hold of one man] shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.”

This verse shows that the time is now ripe for this glorious revolutionizing of the church and of the world. Let us remember that history repeats, and that a dark cloudy day is always followed by a bright one. So this great apostasy is to be followed not by chaos, but by glorious revival and reformation, by glory and prosperity for all the saints who escape the vengeance of a great God. The faithful shall reap a harvest of souls as did the Apostles on and after the Pentecost.

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In His days [in the Christian era] Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name whereby He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” Jer. 23:5, 6.

This very message, therefore, is the message of “Righteousness by Faith” to them that believe. In the day the “righteous branch” is raised, Judah and Israel shall be saved, and they shall dwell safely.

Yes, the day is here when God’s vengeance is to fall upon His adversaries, and the once trodden-down kingdoms of Judah and Israel are to rise to prominence and power. “Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that they shall no more say, The Lord liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; but, The Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.” Jer. 23:7, 8.

Plainly this is the final harvest of the earth, the gathering of the people from all countries. It is the day in which to sing the song of Moses and the Lamb. This is to be the second and last Exodus Movement. So great will it be that it will entirely eclipse the Movement of Moses’ day. Do we, then, realize that we are on the verge of a new day? — a great day for the faithful and a dreadful one for the unfaithful?

Isa. 4:3 — “And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem.”

This verse clearly shows that while none of the wicked in the church will survive the purification, yet none of the righteous will perish. Indeed, all that are left, will be called holy, and will enjoy even greater security than did His ancient people at the time they left Egypt.

“Behold,…the Lord, Whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. But who may abide the day of his

coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: and he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.” Mal. 3:1-3.

Isa. 4:4-6 — “When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.”

“For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.” Zech. 2:5.

Anyone who knows the Bible can see that all these events are premillennial. So it is that this present apostasy is to bring forth the “Lord’s fruitful branch”; that the wicked who are among God’s people are to be taken out of the way, and the faithful, those that escape, are to be the servants of God and reap a harvest of souls, of “such as should be saved,” that the day of vengeance is already at the threshold of the house; that His faithful ones are to be raised to prominence and power; that the greatness and the glory of the movement is to cause the wonders of the Exodus Movement and of the early Christian church to fade into insignificance.”

Instead of applying the context of Isaiah 4:1 to our church and the soon-to-come church purification, he cuts out God’s intended meaning and simply applies it to the world with no applicable lesson to our SDA church. Clearly proving God’s word — “knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2 Peter 1:20-21)

Next DB  asks–  “What is the seal? We want to know that.”  “Seal the Law among my Disciples (Isaiah 8:16). Have you noticed the connection between the seal and the Law? The seal of God can be found in the Law of God.”

DB then goes into the point that the seal of God is found in the 4th Commandment. A well known SDA doctrinal teaching. True, we as Adventists have always taught this basic doctrine but the scroll  has unrolled since our prophetess’ time. There is a “present truth” understanding here on the seal or mark for us today, let us read  more about present truth–

“In every age there is a new development of truth, a message of God to the people of that generation. The old truths are all essential; new truth is not independent of the old, but an unfolding of it. It is only as the old truths are understood that we can comprehend the new. When Christ desired to open to His disciples the truth of His resurrection, He began “at Moses and all the prophets” and “expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.” Luke 24:27. But it is the light which shines in the fresh unfolding of truth that glorifies the old. He who rejects or neglects the new does not really possess the old. For him it loses its vital power and becomes but a lifeless form. ” (Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 127)

So while DB does accurately describe the “old” understanding of the seal for God’s people, an understanding held for over a century by our church, he neglects to expound upon the present truth of this seal upon God’s people today. To his credit he does mention Ezekiel 9 but he neglects the application God would have us to understand today. But God is faithful! He indeed made sure we understand this seal or mark.

“WHAT IS THE SEAL?

Question No. 21:

What is the seal of God upon the foreheads of the 144,000 (Rev. 7:3)? Is it the Sabbath seal or something else?

Answer:

Being sealed in Christ “with that Holy Spirit of promise,” after having “heard the word of truth” (Eph. 1:13; 4:30), the saints are consequently sealed by Present Truth–the truth preached in their own day.

“The seal of the living God,” the Truth, by which the 144,000 are sealed (Rev. 7:2), is a special seal, being the same as “the mark” of Ezekiel 9. (See Testimonies to Ministers, p. 445; Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 267; Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211). It demands one’s sighing and crying over the abominations which defile him and which desecrate both the Sabbath and the house of God, especially against selling literature and raising goals during Sabbath services. As the saints have this seal or mark on their foreheads, the angels will pass over them, not slay them. It is equivalent to the blood on the door post on the night of the Passover in Egypt. The angel is to place a mark upon the foreheads of all who by sighing over their own sins, and over the sins in the house of God, show fidelity to the Truth. Then the destroying angels will follow, to slay utterly both old and young who have failed to receive the seal. (See Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 505.)

So, the former seal enables the receiver to rise from the dead in the resurrection of the just, while the latter seal enables the sighing-crying one to escape death and forever to live for God.” (2 Answerer, p. 31-33)

DB then goes on to emphasize that the Sunday Law is coming and all, including the SDA must have God’s seal or mark. However this again is falsely leading our people to a comfort or should we say, ignorance of that secretive coming of Mal. 3:1-5 and His judgment of  Ezekiel 9 and Isaiah 66:15-21. Thus many SDA won’t be around to even see and experience God’s sealing or marking. A false leading of the SDA chain of prophetic events!

DB — “So what is this seal, we want to know that. As a matter of fact, I think it’s more important that we know what the seal is than the mark. Because you don’t want to be an expert in the mark and get the mark, you want to be an expert in the seal, amen.”

No, the final message of Elijah tells us all about the mark. This mark must be disquished from the Sunday law mark! Let us read —

“Then He called out in my hearing with a loud voice, saying, “Let those who have charge over the city draw near, each with a ^[deadly weapon in his hand.” And suddenly six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his battle-ax in his hand. One man among them was clothed with linen and had a writer’s inkhorn ^[at his side. They went in and stood beside the bronze altar.

Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn at his side; and the Lord said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”

To the others He said in my hearing, “Go after him through the city and kill;^[do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity. Utterly^[slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple. Then He said to them, “Defile the temple, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” And they went out and killed in the city.  So it was, that while they were killing them, I was left alone; and I fell on my face and cried out, and said, “Ah, Lord God! Will You destroy all the remnant of Israel in pouring out Your fury on Jerusalem?”

Then He said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of bloodshed, and the city full of perversity; for they say, ‘The Lord has forsaken the land, and the Lord does not see!’ And as for Me also, My eye will neither spare, nor will I have pity, but I will recompense their deeds on their own head.”

Just then, the man clothed with linen, who had the inkhorn at his side, reported back and said, “I have done as You commanded me.”(Ezekiel 9:1-11)

Yes, we want to know all about this mark because God sent us , by way of His prophetess, the following counsel on this mark —

“Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will you hear? Will you receive His message? Will you be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity.(Manuscript Releases, p. 260)

Instead of just quoting Ezekiel 9 about the mark as DB does and then applying it to the coming of Jesus in the clouds, we are to KNOW about it for it will affect EVERY SDA , before the Lord’s coming in the clouds and even before the mark of the Beast (Sunday Law). Once again we can see that DB fails to instruct us as to the lessons God has for His people in these last days. The prophetic timelines are incorrectly pointed out and will only lead to us failing to obtain that “extra oil” (Matt. 25:8-9).

Summary —

There is little doubt that Pastor Doug Batchelor has not “rightly divided the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). Showing that “no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation” (2 Peter 1:20). God’s intended lessons concerning the seal or mark MUST be rightly understood by us SDA because —

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17)

“The class who do not feel grieved over their own spiritual declension, nor mourn over the sins of others, will be left without the seal of God. The Lord commissions His messengers, the men with slaughtering weapons in their hands: “Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.” 

Here we see that the church—the Lord’s sanctuary—was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God’s power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus “Peace and safety” is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God’s people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together.” (Testimonies, volume 5, p.211)

In giving his presentation did DB give our church warning of this beginning judgment in God’s church? Did DB give us a warning that we must study and know what the end time “mark” will be for us SDA? No. Instead, assumptions and false teachings are given that “everybody”, including ALL SDA members will soon experience the times of the Sunday Law and be able to say yes or no. Not true, the message of God through His Elijah prophet is that the soon-to-come Ezekiel 9 judgment is come upon His church PRIOR to the Sunday Law, and only those who “sigh and cry for all the abomination done in the church” will escape. They are to be the — 144,000. Solemn and the Truth.

“Mark this point with care: Those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented by a mark by the man in linen, are those “that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done” in the church. Their love for purity and the honor and glory of God is such, and they have so clear a view of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that they are represented as being in agony, even sighing and crying. Read the ninth chapter of Ezekiel.” (Testimonies, volume 3, p.267)

Timely Questions about the Zech. 14 war

As we present truth believers know, the current Israel war is quite serious. We know that “the greatest of all wars is to be fought about the holy land” (2 TG, no. 41, p.18) and as such our undivided attention must be focused there now. We’ve had questions come in from the field and would like to discuss them in this post.

1. How long is the Zech. 14 war to last?

We are not told in the message how long it will last. From a personal perspective, with the big and devastating armament today, we cannot imagine this to be many weeks or months.  But this will have to remain to be seen. All we are told is to be ready and watch.

2. What significant event happens during this war? 

The prophesied Ezekiel 9 church judgment. In Tract 14, p.22-23 we read —

 “O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.”

Here in prophetic utterance is not only a promise to purify the church when modern Assyria is being crushed, but also a suggestive statement as to what constitutes “meat in due season” for men today; and as to what movement they are to enlist in if they would make sure of salvation.  They are enjoined to fix their vision upon the feet of him who brings “good tidings” (message from the Lord), who publishes “peace” (the peace of Christ’s Kingdom), and who declares that while the powers of earth are engulfed in a gigantic war, the wicked in the church shall be cut off, no more to pass through her. Specifically, the prophet exhorts all penitently to turn unto  the house of Judah (the latter-day Kingdom of Judah — Mic. 4; Ezek. 37:16-22), the church in the purification of which are to be sealed 12,000  out of each of the 12 tribes, as firstfruits.   And he urges the subjects of the kingdom to perform their religious duties and to keep their promises to the Lord.  In short, he admonishes them to give heed to the message of the hour — the message which announces the imminence of the church’s purification, after which, as the promise is, “the wicked shall no more pass through” her, for “he is utterly cut off.” (See also Matt. 13:30, 47-50, Isa. 66:16, 19, 20). (Tract 14, p.22-23)

3. What other significant happening occurs during this war/church judgment?

The final marked number and the last of the marking of the 144,000 occurs, we read —

“And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord God! wilt Thou destroy all the residue of Israel in Thy pouring out of Thy fury upon Jerusalem? Then said He unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great,…and as for Me also, Mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity.” Ezek. 9:8-10.

After the sighing and crying ones were marked (which is not to be understood as being consummated in its entirety worldwide before the slaying follows anywhere), the slaughter completed, and the matter reported, the Lord “spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city.” Ezek. 10:2. (Tract 1, p.38-39)

Although this important reference has been in the message for decades, we believe it has not been given the proper exposure and understanding until fairly recently.  Why this is so important is that it completely destroys the idea of an “intervening time”. That teaching has permeated from organizations such as Waco and Mt. Dale for years. take a look at the following chart made and produced by Mt. Dale ( but due to our exposure has been withdrawn since their last session in 2022). 



Notice the several areas of a false timeline in this chart, such as the line showing the 144,000 sealing completed 42 months PRIOR to Ezek. 9! The Giganitc war lasting up to 42 months. The so called   “Assyrian confederacy” ( a Don Adair teaching) also occurring during the 42 months prior to Ezek. 9, and so forth. So, thankfully we have exposed this terrible private and uninspired timeline, which does not align with inspiration when one discards the new codes.

4. Who wins the Zech. 14 war?

As Davidian SDA, we should all know that the “other side” meaning the nations that come against Israel , will win this war.  We read —

“The world sees communism as a hydra-headed monster behind a bush, and the nations are already, so to speak, smiting their knees one against the other while they look at it. Their safety, however, does not depend on fear and armament, nor on the man we elect for president, but on God, on Him Who holds the earth in space, and Who still rules the affairs of mankind. From the dawn of history till today the great nations that have fallen, fell when they were best armed and most independent of God. This should be a great lesson to all, but who realizes it!

God, therefore, for the sake of His own will puts in the hearts of the communists, or communist-like powers (the ten horns of the scarlet-colored beast who hate the woman, hate religion, as does communism) to “give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.” Rev. 17:17.

Now, the statement to “give their kingdom” implies that they have a kingdom to give. In verse 12, however, we are told that they “have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.” When both statements are put together then the statements say that communism could have a kingdom, could rule the world, but “God hath put in their hearts to fulfill His will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.” They, therefore, only receive power as kings one hour with the beast, after which they destroy the woman, the church and state system, and take the kingdom to themselves (Rev. 17:17). (For a detailed exposition of the seventeenth chapter of Revelation, read Tract no. 12, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, pp. 30-33).

Just how this is to come about, I do not know; but I do know that the greatest of all wars is to be fought about the holy land; “Behold,” says the Lord, “the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.” Zechariah 14:1, 2.

This prophetic statement, “God hath put in their hearts…to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast,” proves true what I tried to say awhile ago: That when any nation became great and on its own, without God, built a gigantic war machine for defense and aggression, then it was that that nation came to naught. The tranquility and prosperity of any nation and people, therefore, depends on their stand with God, not on their military strength.” (2 TG, no. 41, p.17-18)

Not only will the main victors (Russia, China, Iran and other surrounding countries) win the Zech. 14 war and allow God’s people (the 144,000) to return to the holy land, but later they will also concede their authority to the beast system  “until the words of God shall be fulfilled.”

5. How does the “Assyrian” situation play out in this war?

“O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.” Here in prophetic utterance is not only a promise to purify the church when modern Assyria is being crushed..” (Tract 14, p.22)

“Seeing that the Lord is about to humiliate “Assyria” for her own good, but that He would forbear doing so if only she would repent as did Nineveh of old at Jonah’s warning, obviously this Forecast is published to benefit not the church alone but “Assyria” and her allies also, and even their enemy.

Nevertheless, if these belligerents will not voluntarily awaken to the fact that Destiny is not in their own hands but in the mighty hands of the Infinite and Omnipotent God, then will He bring them involuntarily to that realization, and spare only their God-fearing citizens, as  He declares:

“In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.  In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel Mine inheritance.”  Isa. 19:23-25.

Thus in His infinite mercy would the Lord lift “the burden of Nineveh” today, even as He did in the ancient day.  Indeed, it is for “a blessing in the midst of the land,” even to all nations, that He is to effect  THE CHURCH’S LIBERATION FROM “ASSYRIAN” YOKE.” (Tract 14, p.15-16)

“Because of idolatry, the Assyrian was permitted to take God’s ancient people and their pleasant land. And certain it is that the Assyrian will control the land just so long as God’s people continue in idolatry. But, just as soon as all idols are cast aside, — yes, as soon as the great revival and reformation takes place in the hearts of the people, — then the Assyrian (the power that now rules them) shall certainly fall, and God’s people shall just as certainly return.” (1 TG, no. 33, p.4-5)

These three references give us a clear idea of what to expect of Assyria (English-speaking Christian world 1 TG, no.23, p.6). They will be “crushed” during this war, God’s people and land will be liberated. Right now they control the land but soon will have to give it up. 

Some may ask — “Israel nation controls the holy land now through control of Palestine, how is Israel considered  an English-speaking Christian nation?” This situation requires us to know the “King of the North” teaching. In order to know more of that please see our reports on that. In short, Israel is basically taking orders from her masters (Great Britain, USA and other Christianized nations), so she is not really controlling the land but following the direction of the King of the North, which the message calls “Christianized Kings”(particularly through Great Britain and the Zionist connections).

6. What are our SDA leaders saying about this Hamas/Israel war?

Basically not much. If they do say anything it is most likely they stand up for the democratic side (Israel, USA) and sell the idea that God will protect the current Israel. Recently we were eager log in to Doug Batchelor’s YouTube channel when he posted that they would have a report on “War in Israel Prophecy”. However we felt like that old Clara Peller Wendy’s ad “Where’s the beef?”  The report was completely lacking much of the prophetic scriptures insight that shed light on this potential war –Zechariah, Nahum, Zepaniah, etc.

Sadly the SDA leaders are without the “extra oil”. The only group of people who have the prophetic light on this war are –Davidian Seventh-day Adventists.

7. When does the Sunday Law take place in regard to this war?

There are generally two lines of thought here. First, the SL takes place immediately or almost immediately after the war, based on the reading of the FB’s and a few references. Second, the SL comes later in time after the war based on the Harvest Period Chart and (what we call more thorough) reading of our FB’s along with the refs.


There are three angles we can take to show the timing of the SL. 

1. The Symbolic revelation  (Charts)

2. Our Fundamental Beliefs  

3. The references

Let’s begin with the charts. But before we do, let us look at an important “key” to the significance of these symbolic revelations.

“Written words can be misconstrued, but symbols cannot. Thus making it possible for the learned and unlearned, to immediately distinguish the difference the difference between truth and error.” ( 2 SR, p.288)

Can we stand behind such powerful and illuminating counsel? We must!  We got confusion on something? Go to the charts! That is what we are told, let’s obey and be blessed.




This chart clearly and unmistakably shows a timeline path. Can anyone see a false order here? If we look at ALL the events, cannot they show the perfect timeline of events?

It shows that after Ezek. 9 (which happens during the Zech. 14 war) the next thing is the  Church Federation. We’ll get into some solid refs that harmonize this chart timeline in our references section. After that, it shows the False Prophet and the two-horned beast coming together. To do what? Read it, it says “determined to deceive the world by miracles and LAWS“.

What laws? Obviously, it mainly is the Sunday Law. So after the events of the churches coming together to formulate the church federation, the False Prophet comes onto the scene to join up with the USA leaders (particularly the 666 man)  and the churches to begin their deception campaign of which the most important element soon occurs — the Sunday Law. Miracles will help this deception tremendously due to the charismatic and powerful works of the False Prophet. This all helps the masses to be deceived into thinking the day of the Lord is Sunday and to worship Him faithfully on that day each week. But, as the chart shows, the churches first come together to formulate a union BEFORE the SL and False Prophet appears. This will take some time.

After the SL is established in the two-horned beast domain, THEN it goes out into Babylon. Again we’ll show the references that harmonize the chart in this regard.




Here we see once again the harmony of the symbolic revelation. The placement of the church federation coming before the Babylon period of the Sunday law. As we know these charts are not all-encompassing and not everything is pointed out obviously, but what it does show is in harmony not only with the other charts but with the written word.

Our Fundamental Beliefs that we’ll now look at is 4 to 10.

4. That the destruction of the tares from among the first fruits of the living (Matt. 13:30, 48, 49; Ezek. 9:6, 7) results in the purification of the church.

5. That immediately thereafter, the angels let loose the four winds (Rev. 7:1-3), whereupon ensues the time of trouble and Michael’s standing up to deliver from it, all whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Dan. 12:1).

6. That the angels’ letting loose the four winds to blow over the four corners of the earth (Rev. 7:1), does not anticipate a World war but rather a world wide decree enforced throughout Babylon by the image-beast, and that then no one may buy or sell save he who worships “the image.” Rev. 13:15-17.

7. That subsequently, the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jer. 30:7) for the 144,000, the sons of Jacob, logically develops on their way home (Gen. 32:1, 24) to the land of their fathers (Ezek. 36:28; 37:21, 25).

8. That the foregoing epochal event shall cause the 144,000 to have their names changed as did their father, Jacob (Gen. 32:28), and as a body receive a new name which the mouth of the Lord shall name (Isa. 62:2).

9. That these events shall ultimate in the setting up of the Kingdom (Dan. 2:44; Isa. 2:1-4; Mic. 4; Ezek. 37), wherein the 144,000, those who follow the Lamb “withersoever He goeth” (Rev. 14:4), shall stand with Him on Mt. Zion (Rev. 14:1), and there “receive the forces of the GentiIes. ” Isa. 60:5, 11.

10. That with this sequence of events will ensure the Loud Cry of the angel that lightens the earth with his glory (Rev. 18:1) (FB Tract, p.12-13)

Summary —

5. Right after Ezek. 9 the time of trouble begins (Dan. 12:1)

6. The loosing of the four winds does not “anticipate”, which means to predict or expect to happen, a world war but the SL WHEN it goes into full fulfillment IN THE TIME OF BABYLON. Let us show what this means according to the message.

Notice that the winds being let loose are predicting that it will meet its perfect fulfillment when it goes WORLDWIDE “decree enforced throughout Babylon”, and not when it goes locally (USA domain). And we cannot say it is said the SL starts “immediately” after Ezek. 9. As the chart shows the SL starts FIRST in the two-horned beast domain later after the Church Federation, and then it proceeds to Babylon. In other words, the losing of the four winds will enable the SL to come into full fulfillment in the time of Babylon.

There are some issues we want to address.

As to the SL beginning first in the two-horned beast domain (USA) and then later going into the world (Babylon) we will look at the following —

“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Rev. 13:15-17.)This drastic decree of the two-horned beast shall be adopted by the nations of the world, and the image of the beast, which will demand obedience to an ecclesiastical form of worship, will be internationally set up. The mark of the beast is Sunday observance.” (SRod, vol.2, p.110)

We notice “This drastic decree of the two-horned beast shall be adopted by the nations of the world”. To be adopted by, must mean to follow after, for one cannot be adopted by something unless it is first established so that something can be adopted to it.

“The anger of the nations” will develop by the decree that the two-horned beast is to enact “and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” (Rev. 13:15), for the fact that all the nations will follow in the footsteps of the two-horned beast and “the same crisis will come upon our people in all parts of the world” (6T 395) showing that this “anger of the nations” is a world-wide confederacy against God’s people as predicted by the prophet Zechariah: “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” (Zech. 12:3.)

Verse 8 proves that at the time of the anger of the nations, “clad in the armor of Christ’s righteousness, the church is to enter upon her final conflict, ‘Fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners,’ she is to go forth into all the world, conquering and to conquer” for, “in that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them.”

“Those who have been timid and self-distrustful, will declare themselves openly for Christ and His truth. The most weak and hesitating in the church, will be as David—willing to do and dare.”—“Testimonies for the Church,” Vol. 5, p. 81. (2 SC, no. 2, p.4-5)

Notice “for the fact that all nations will follow in the footsteps of the two-horned beast” again shows the SL starts first in USA and is then “followed” by the nations in adopting it.

Once again all of this aligns perfectly with the chart as to the timing of events.

Now let’s hear when Babylon comes into existence —

Rev. 18:2 — “And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” Ah, after the earth is lightened, then it is that Babylon falls. Plainly, then, Babylon has not actually fallen as yet. In fact Babylon has not even come into existence yet, for she is yet to mount (rule) the beast (the world). See Revelation 17 and Tract #12, “The World Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.” (TG, vol. 1, no.21, p.20)

When the woman rules the beast and enforces the SL worldwide, THEN Babylon comes into existence in the fullest sense. This happens after the prior two events, the Church Federation and the SL happening in the USA with the help of the False Prophet.

“The tabulation of events in this chapter fully illustrate the great prophetic occurrences that are to transpire in rapid succession as shown in the chart. The union of the churches represented by the “woman” sitting on the “heads” must take place before the combined power of the “beast” and the “false prophet” is fully realized. The symbols (“false prophet” and the “beast”) reveal that there shall be a national alliance of church and state. But the woman riding on the beast, denotes an international system of church and state, enforced by civil law, and miraculous power.” (2 SR, p.160)

In summary, the Harvest Chart shows us a solid timeline of events to happen right after the war. These things develop into separate and distinct events and in the order shown. We cannot mix them around or insert our own timelines, unless we want to insert our own pipe into the Golden Bowl and call God’s prophetic symbols and word false —

An In-Depth Study of Ezekiel 47 Eastward River, Part 2

In Part 2, we thought it best to highlight the changing of the color chart versus the black and white (original) chart. There are some striking differences that show that the color chart was altered in key areas, these are not insignificant. 

This post is needed as the lesson of Ezekiel 47 river is VERY important, especially in the last few years, and as such we should be teaching from the chart that aligns with inspiration. Unfortunately, we as DSDA have not generally paid attention to some key facts here.

We will list each of those discrepancies and why it needs to be pointed out. We will go from left to right in the charts.

1) Arrow to the altar. Notice in the original chart that the arrow points directly to the altar. Now look at the color chart. It points to the grass area outside of the north gate of the courtyard. We will notice the arrow comes from two references– Zech 13:1,2. Meaning that those references describe the purpose of what the arrow is pointing at.

“In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness (13:1) And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.”(13:2)

“Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.” (Ezekiel 47:1)

Thus we see that the arrow is pointing to the altar in the temple. And why it’s pointing there is because the river coming out of there is showing the fountain is now opened “to the house of David”.

This is quite obvious. The fountain is NOT opened at the north gate, as shown on the colored chart but from the fountain IN the temple. What is the significance of this?

“And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim; they [the two cities] shall be a place to spread forth nets.” (Ezek. 47:10.) These two cities reveal that the fish are caught in two places, En-gedi (S.D.A. church) where the 144,000 are gathered — the first fruits. En-eglaim (Babylon or the world) where the great multitude of Revelation 7:9 are gathered. The diagram on the chart, page 294, represents the S.D.A. church (En-gedi) as it becomes the “House of David,” and the place of the river (En-eglaim) denotes the world. The stream from the fountain where it first starts to the east gate, represents the 144,000, and the river stands for the great multitude. ” (2 SRod, p. 297-298)

Which one aligns with the written word? There can be no doubt which chart aligns with inspiration.

The 144,000 arrow is basically pointing correctly in both charts. Both charts, the original and the colored, show the river heading east.

2) The Great Multitude. Notice the original chart shows the arrow pointing to the river as it begins to swell from the temple and then the  courtyards.  However, the arrow in the colored chart is pointing to the trees! Now, we all know the symbolism of the GM is the river and not the trees. Additionally the ref’s CH p. 209 and Ezek. 47:12 point out the food and medicine of the trees. The colored chart lumps them all together (GM and ref’s) and points the arrow to the trees. Careless and incorrect. If we are “close reasoners and logical thinkers”  (3 SC, no.5-6, p.7) we know the prophet could not have done that!

3) Ezekiel is swimming. This is one of the biggest errors. The original chart shows no such swimming by Ezekiel and for good reason. The prophet speaks in this area very clear and unmistakable. 

 “As the tiny rivulet immediately swells into a mighty river, it represents something of very rapid growth. These waters denote the same as the waters in Revelation 17:15, “Peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” For the angel said to Ezekiel: “Which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.” (Ezek. 47:8.) Therefore, these waters represent a very great multitude “which no man could number” that shall be healed from sin and disease, saved in the time of the “loud cry” through the ministry of the “house of David” (the church). As Ezekiel could not swim this river, the symbol is in perfect harmony with Revelation 7:9, “A great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues… clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.” (SRod, vol. 2, p.295)

The colored chart ignores the prophet’s own words and show him swimming. Now, we can either think we have an absent-minded prophet who forgets what he said before, or we can believe that someone else inserted that. We’ll deal with that later on.

Note also that in the original chart the vision is perfectly reflected as  Ezekiel is shown returning to the bank instead of swimming. 

“After the angel had measured three times a thousand cubits, says Ezekiel: “And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river. Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other. And by the river upon the bank thereof,” said the angel, “on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.” (Ezek. 47:6, 7, 12.)

4) The Marishes. 

“But the swamps and marshes will not be healed, they will be given over to salt.” (Ezekiel 47:11)

“But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.” (Ezek. 47:11.) The “marishes” and the “miry places” represent denominations and sects separate of the “mighty river,” and that they shall not be saved, or healed. “Turned to salt,” means eternally lost, as was Lot’s wife. “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man…. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot…. Remember Lot’s wife.” (Luke 17:26, 28, 32.) ( SRod, vol. 2, p.297)

What do we have here? The religious false sects shall not live or flourish! The original chart shows no growth. The colored chart shows them budding with flowers and green! Again, an obvious counterfeit. 

5) The Closed Eastgate door

When we spoke recently to sister Eva, she pointed out that one of the specific areas that the prophet wasn’t happy about (relayed to her from sister Bonnie) was the opened eastgate door of the temple. This is a GLARING error brought out in the small colored chart.  We read —

“Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut. Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.” (Ezekiel 44:1-2)

The original chart correctly shows this gate closed.

While there are other areas of altering, the above five seem the most prominent and noteworthy. 

Let’s look at a little history of Ezekiel 47 chart. The large color charts, as far as we know never had the Ezekiel 47 chart included and 18 large color charts were in the series. According to sister Bonnie, and just recently verified by her personal assistant, sister Eva, the prophet was “not happy with the small chart of Ezekiel 47”. So much so that he and the chart artist –Ralph Georgel had a falling out. Georgel quit the organization. This all happened near the end of VTH’s life. At a time when he was battling serious health issues and obviously could not pursue these areas as he once could.

So the idea that VTH “authorized” these small charts is not solid as to the Ezekiel 47 small chart, as proposed by some DSDA, particularly Eric Edstrom of UPA7. Further, Edstrom points out in his latest video on Ezek. 47 chart, that a “new code” reference (Vol. 11, no. 12, p.34) should be used by us DSDA as evidence of this claim. This is quite amazing as Edstrom is one of the loudest and most die hard proclaimers against the new codes! 

We cannot forget that it was SISTER HOUTEFF who published that code NOT the prophet. Therefore the prophet did not publish it as he did not authorize it. So to give proof of that code as good evidence of the legitimacy of the Ezek. 47 small chart is highly suspect. And in those small chart collections, the disputed Ezek. 47 chart was put there, the one VTH was not happy with (obviously due to the changing of the vision and the symbols). This announcement of the availability of the small chart collection was made in 1956, over a year and half after the passing of VTH.

Lastly, on this matter, the new code Edstrom uses (Vol. 11, no. 12, p.34) shows copyrighted by V.T. Houteff 1954. However, VTH DID NOT publish this. It may have been written by him in 1954 (though not confirmed) but as with all the new codes,  he never published them. They were to remain in the file cabinet for some reason only God and VTH knew.  Those of us who have deeply studied these codes (and even Edstrom admits) know they are seriously flawed with error. As mentioned, the apostate wife, who we all can admit was NOT led by God–published them WITHOUT his authority or permission. So once again we see the utter hypocrisy of Edstrom and his UPA7, organization. 

Even if we assume that the announcement of the “new” small chart collection was made by Florence in 1956, it was with HER authority that they were to be used as inspiration and not the prophet. As we review these small charts, we note that only the Ezekiel 47 chart is suspect. However, we may need to do a closer inspection.

More importantly, if we look at the above points, there are clear mistakes in the colored chart and one will see that inspiration is mocked. Now,  we can understand why God, through his prophet said —

“Cunning men under the power of the great deceiver, with good words and fair speeches have sought to overthrow the faith of the saints in the word of God by almost innumerable interpretations of the Scriptures, and multiplicity of sects; making it nearly impossible for one to find his way out through the confusion, and thus keeping him in ignorance of the truth. God, knowing beforehand of these cunning devices, has prophetically illustrated the truth by this candlestick in its assemblage of parts, symbolically showing that the truth of the Bible is revealed by Inspiration only. Written words can be misconstrued, but symbols can not. Thus making it possible for both learned, and unlearned, to immediately distinguish the difference between truth and error.” (SRod, vol2, p.287-288)

Let us not be tricked by “cunning men.” If we say “oh well the prophet revised the chart” then we are basically saying he made blatant errors in the first chart “Ezekiel could not swim” and then later he shows him swimming! Makes ZERO sense brethren, run, not walk away from the devil’s tricks. Lastly, for those who say”well the prophet showed error in the Ezekiel 4 chart by showing Jacob’s time of trouble in the time of the 6th plague”. This is perfectly understood when we understand the Lord’s counsel–

 “..there are circumstances in connection with certain aspects of every message which necessitate clarification. Such clarification, however, can be no greater than the light which shines at the time. And the light may come solely from within the message itself, or, again, it may derive from a limited understanding common to the time “then present”–an understanding which the messenger himself shares.” (1 Ans, p. 49)

The prophet was borrowing from SOP the light present at that time and he later revised the JTT to correctly point out it’s placement. However, we cannot make a giant leap to apply 1 ANS counsel to the Ezek. 47 chart, particularly to the 4 points given. The marishes cannot be shown alive and flowering, the false sects, and religions will not be healed nor grow in Christ during the kingdom , Ezekiel is said NOT to be swimming from the Rod, the GM can never be described as trees, and the fountain stream from the Altar can only be placed beginning and opened within the temple (SDA church).

“..the Spirit of Prophecy does not, and cannot, give to one person one interpretation of scripture, and give to another another interpretation of the same scripture.” (4 SC, no.10-12, p.3)

Did the Lord break His own counsel and give VTH two different interpretations concerning the Ezekiel 47 chart? Think it through.

“Says the Spirit of Prophecy, “Close reasoners and logical thinkers are few. ” “How many men in this age of the world fail to go deep enough. They only skim the surface. They will not think closely enough to see difficulties and grapple with them, and will not examine every important subject which comes before them with thoughtful, prayerful study, and with sufficient caution and interest to see the real point at issue. They talk of matters which they have not fully and carefully weighed. ”—“Fundamentals of Christian Education,” p. 27; “Testimones for the Church,” Vol. 4, p. 361” ( 3 SC, o. 5-6, p.7)


“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come” (John 16:13)
