As we know the subject of Jacob’s time of trouble is complex. We have SOP showing us a different view as opposed to the Rod. We did a thorough analysis on this subject on our other sister blog and can be viewed here —

But we want to focus on the so-called intervening time that some present truth believers propagate. Briefly, they say that after the 144,000 are sealed, then the saints go through JTT prior to Ezek. 9. They use numerous new code references for this.

But as we have published numerous times we are safe to stay with the original Rod as published by the prophet, not the apostate wife (new codes).

Let us break down the issue with two main points from the mesage to see whether there can be any intervening time prior to Ezek.9.

1 — The Lord has given us our Fundamental Beliefs in Tract form. This means exactly what it says — the beliefs we as Davidians have, are summed up and made fundamental to our doctrine. In other words our core understanding of the message and VERY important.

Let’s review number 4 to 7 again —

“4. That the destruction of the tares from among the first fruits of the living (Matt. 13:30, 48, 49; Ezek. 9:6, 7) results in the purification of the church.

5. That immediately thereafter, the angels let loose the four winds (Rev. 7:1-3), whereupon ensues the time of trouble and Michael’s standing up to deliver from it, all whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Dan. 12:1).

6. That the angels’ letting loose the four winds to blow over the four corners of the earth (Rev. 7:1), does not anticipate a World war but rather a world wide decree enforced throughout Babylon by the image-beast, and that then no one may buy or sell save he who worships “the image.” Rev. 13:15-17.

7. That subsequently, the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jer. 30:7) for the 144,000, the sons of Jacob, logically develops on their way home (Gen. 32:1, 24) to the land of their fathers (Ezek. 36:28; 37:21, 25).” (FB Tract, p.12-13)

The words “immediately thereafter” and “subsequently” are indicative of a progression of thought, a continuation of the timeline. So we see that Jacob’s time of trouble (no. 7) comes AFTER Ezek. 9. Plain and clear. Yet some would like to confuse this, make of no effect the clear “Thus sayeth the Lord” Words.

SOP reminds us of God’s principle —

“The truths most plainly revealed in the Bible have been involved in doubt and darkness by learned men, who, with a pretense of great wisdom, teach that the Scriptures have a mystical, a secret, spiritual meaning not apparent in the language employed. These men are false teachers. It was to such a class that Jesus declared: “Ye know not the Scriptures, neither the power of God.

The language of the Bible should be explained according to its obvious meaning, unless a symbol or figure is employed. Christ has given the promise: “If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine.” If men would but take the Bible as it reads, if there were no false teachers to mislead and confuse their minds, a work would be accomplished that would make angels glad and that would bring into the fold of Christ thousands upon thousands who are now wandering in error.” (GC, p. 598)

So we should read it as it plainly says and not slice, dice or sidestep its obvious meaning. JTT comes after Ezek. 9. When we stand upon the solid Rock of Jesus –His Word, we also see that this belief destroys the false ideas like being zoomed over to the kingdom in a chariot. For if we were to experience that then,  there would be no chance on JTT developing trouble “on the way home”, a mental anguish such as in the type during his physical travel to the kingdom home.

2 — Ok so let’s now go to the main Rod reference that absolutely clears this issue —

“After the sighing and crying ones were marked(which is not to be understood as
being consummated in its entirety worldwide before the slaying follows anywhere), the slaughter completed, and the matter reported, the Lord “spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels even under  the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city.” Ezek. 10:2. (Tract 1, p.38-39)

Do we see that? We are told NOT to think that the whole number (the 144,000) are to be sealed in completion BEFORE the slaughter starts (Ezek. 9) !  Wow, this nails it brethren. To say that the sealing is completed prior to Ezek. 9, as the intervening time brethren do is to throw this inspired Word out the window. This and the Fundamental timeline are in great harmony once again!

In closing, let us be deep thinkers and  do close studies and when we do the Lord is faithful and His promise (John 16:13) comes to us, amen.
